Chapter 27: Cocoa, Chaos, and Comfort

Start from the beginning

"You're right," I reply, my voice low. "It's time."

Y/N meets my gaze, and there's a quiet understanding between us.

The truth is, none of us know where this is going, but we can't keep avoiding it.

Taehyung is going to be a part of this, whether we're ready or not.

"There's also something else," Y/N says, looking a little uncertain. "The man at the restaurant. The one we felt the pull toward on our first date? I can't stop thinking about him either. Maybe he's part of the connection too."

The words hang in the air between us, and for a moment, I don't say anything.

I hadn't expected her to bring it up, but now that she has, I can't ignore the strange twist of fate that brought that man into our path.

The way we both felt something-stronger than just a fleeting glance. The way the pull between us felt just as real as it did with Namjoon.

"I've been thinking about that too," I admit. "He might be part of this-our soul connection. It's strange, but it's real. I don't know how, or why, but I can't shake the feeling that we need to talk to Taehyung about it too. He deserves to know. All of it."

Y/N nods slowly, a quiet sigh escaping her lips. "I don't want to complicate his feelings. We're all just starting out with him, and now... we're just not talking about us three but more soulmates. It's a lot to process."

"Yeah we don't even know if Namjoon is at all open in finding out or if we'll ever see that man from the restaurant again" I reply, my voice low. "But we can't shield him from the truth. He deserves to know, just like we do. He's part of this too."

Y/N's eyes soften, and she gives a small nod of agreement. "You're right. He has a right to know. But I'm not sure how he's going to take all of this. I don't want him to feel overwhelmed."

"We'll be there with him. We'll figure it out together, babe" I say firmly, reaching across the table to give her hand a reassuring squeeze. "We've always been a team. We can handle this, whatever it is."

Y/N smiles, her eyes shining with quiet resolve. "Yeah, you're right. We've always got each other's backs."

We sit in silence for a moment, letting the weight of the conversation settle in. It's not going to be easy, but it's time we faced the truth.

Tomorrow, we'll tell Taehyung. It's time.

______________

The morning feels crisp and fresh, the kind of early morning where everything is still soft with the promise of a good day ahead.

I glance over at Y/N, who's sitting beside me in the passenger seat, a quiet contentment in her eyes as she gently cradles the thermos with the hot cocoa she made for herself.

The smell of freshly brewed coffee from my own tumbler mingles with the soft scent of the sandwiches she packed for us, a reminder that even in the midst of the chaos that's been our lives recently, we're taking this moment for ourselves.

We'd spent the last half hour in the car, Y/N occasionally taking sips of her cocoa and passing me a glance of amusement every time Taehyung sent another teasing message about how late we were.

It's almost comical how time seems to blur when we're all together.

I never realized how much I'd come to enjoy these little moments.

"Yoongi, are you awake?" Y/N asks, glancing over at me, her smile gentle.

"Always awake when I'm with you," I reply, the teasing tone light, but there's truth in it.
