Chapter 26: Handshakes and Hopes

Start from the beginning

It's like we've finally found that sweet spot where all the pieces are starting to fit into place.

I lean forward, feeling a surge of confidence.

There's still a lot to figure out, but I've got a plan-and it's one I believe in.

I know we're all doing our best to keep everything moving forward, and now it's time to make sure we're covering all our bases.

"There's one more thing I'd like to add," I begin, catching everyone's attention as they turn to me. "After considering everything, I think we should add a toggle feature for the new features. This way, we can give users more control, especially with the security concerns we've discussed."

I see Yoongi listening intently, and I know he'll back me up on this.

"We'll go ahead with the Advocacy feature as planned and deploy it in two weeks, but we'll toggle it off by default. That gives us time to work on the user polls and discussion feature, which we'll continue designing while the Advocacy feature is live but not fully activated." I pause, making sure everyone is following.

Turning to Jae, I speak directly to him. "Jae, I'm going to need your help on the wireframes for this new feature. We'll need to create something that's clear and user-friendly, but we're on a shorter timeline for this."

Jae doesn't hesitate for a second, already pulling out his sketchpad and scribbling ideas down. "Got it. I'll make sure we keep it simple and intuitive. We've got this."

I feel a sense of relief. The team is in sync, and they're already thinking ahead.

Yoongi nods thoughtfully before speaking up, his voice calm but assured.

"I agree with Y/N," he says. "Giving users control over the features will not only help address concerns but also give us more flexibility while we keep working on refining the product. We're moving forward while respecting the need for security."

I smile slightly, grateful for his support, and glance back at Namjoon.

I catch a small glimmer in his eyes-an expression that suggests he's not only impressed by Yoongi and me but by the team as a whole.

I'm not the only one who's noticing the progress, and that thought fills me with a quiet pride.

"I like this," Ha Eun chimes in. "It's a balanced approach. It gives users control while we work on the additional features. And the timeline is manageable."

There's a sense of agreement in the room as everyone nods in unison, but the moment doesn't last long before Trina jumps in with a laugh. "Well, as long as we don't have another round of last-minute changes, I think we can make it work."

Everyone laughs, the tension easing a little. Even Jae, who's been absorbed in his wireframe sketches, cracks a smile.

It's those small moments, the ones that break up the pressure and remind us that we're all human, that make these long meetings bearable.

Namjoon clears his throat, and his voice cuts through the chatter. "I just want to take a moment to thank everyone," he says, his tone steady but sincere.

"I'm really impressed with how everyone's come together today. The LoveMap App team-your leadership through this has been invaluable. And you have the support of my team. I'm proud of how we're working as one."

The sincerity in his words hits me harder than I expect. I feel the weight of his gratitude, and for a moment, I'm just... grateful.

Grateful for my team. Grateful for the progress we've made. And grateful for where I am right now.
