The room fell into a brief silence, everyone processing my words.
Ha Eun nodded slowly, her shoulders sagging as the weight of the situation seemed to lighten just a little.
"Alright," she said. "I'll set it up. I'll reach out to their team and find a time that works."
I sat back down, feeling a sense of resolve settle over me.
We weren't going to let a delay derail everything we'd worked for.
We had come too far, and we were going to make sure that the vision for this project came to life-on both our terms.
"Let's stay focused," I said, my voice steady but determined. "We can handle this. We've come too far to let a delay throw us off track."
The room seemed to relax, just a little, as the team nodded in agreement.
But the pressure was still there, hovering over us all. We were all determined to make this work, no matter what.
As the meeting moved forward, I couldn't help but feel the weight of the moment, but I was also grateful for the quiet strength that Yoongi always brought to the table.
His presence had a way of calming me, even when everything felt like it was falling apart.
When I felt his hand gently brush mine under the table, I didn't pull away.
His touch, warm and reassuring, gave me the grounding I needed.
I turned to look at him, meeting his calm gaze. He gave me a soft smile, and for a second, it felt like everything else faded away.
"We've got this," Yoongi whispered, his voice low but steady.
I nodded, the knot in my stomach loosening a little.
It was just like him to remind me that no matter how big the challenges were, we were in this together. .
And as long as we stood side by side, we could face anything.
"Thanks, Yoongi," I said softly. "You always know how to calm me down."
He shrugged with that easygoing grin of his, the one that made my heart skip every time.
"I know. It's a talent," he teased, his voice light.
I chuckled, feeling the warmth in my chest as the moment of lightness helped melt away the pressure for a brief second.
I squeezed his hand before letting go, ready to dive back into the work ahead.
There was still a lot to do, but with Yoongi beside me, I felt like we could handle anything that came our way.
"Alright," I said, standing up. "We've got work to do. Let's make sure everything's set for the meeting with the foundation. We'll sort this out."
Everyone nodded, and the room shifted into action.
But even as we dove back into work, Yoongi's presence-steady and unwavering-was the anchor I needed to carry on.
_______________
The soft flicker of the lamp in my apartment was the only thing that illuminated the room as I rested my head against Yoongi's chest, the sound of his heartbeat grounding me in the moment.
The weight of the day seemed to have followed us home, but as Yoongi held me, I could feel the tension slowly starting to release from my body.
Wacha had settled at Yoongi's feet, purring contently. Her presence had a calming effect on both of us, as if she could sense the pressure we were under.
