I glanced at Yoongi and I see him as affected as I am, tightening his knuckles at the table.
But this is not the right time to be focusing on this, we had more pressing concerns at the moment.
This push back is gonna cost us and by the tone of Ha eun's voice, I had a feeling that this was going to be complicated.
"But this timeline... this was the one we all signed off on," I replied, doing my best to stay calm despite the irritation bubbling inside me. "We've been working towards this for 2 months."
Yoongi, always the quiet observer, glanced up from where he was sitting, his expression contemplative. He rubbed his temple, a sure sign that he was deep in thought.
"We can't afford another delay," he added, his voice low but firm. "We've already pushed everything as much as we can. If we change the timeline now, we risk everything falling apart."
I met his gaze, grateful for his support.
His calm demeanor in the face of this frustration was exactly what I needed.
Si Woo, our lead developer, nodded in agreement from his seat across the table.
"We're already stretched thin as it is," Si Woo said, his voice tinged with concern. "Pushing this back now would throw off everything we've been working towards. The cost of delaying is more than just time-it affects resources, coordination-everything."
There was a heavy silence that followed, the tension rising in the room.
Ha Eun, while sympathetic to our position, seemed conflicted. I could tell she understood our frustration, but she wasn't going to back down.
"I get it," she said, rubbing her eyes tiredly.
"Believe me, I do. But Namjoon's team is adamant. They want both features ready before we launch. Otherwise, they fear the feature won't land as well as it should. I'm just the messenger here."
I took a deep breath, trying to calm the storm of emotions swirling inside me.
I understood where the foundation was coming from, but the timeline was already tight, and pushing everything back just didn't seem feasible.
"We've been planning this release for too long to just throw it away now," I said, my voice steady. "If we delay the Regular Advocacy feature, we risk losing the momentum we've built. This was the plan from the beginning."
Si Woo, Jae, and Yoongi all backed me up without hesitation.
Yoongi's gaze never left mine, and his quiet support meant everything right now.
"We can't afford to lose the momentum," Jae added. "We've already invested so much into this. We're so close."
Ha Eun sighed deeply, clearly torn between the demands of the foundation and her loyalty to the team.
She leaned back in her chair, rubbing the back of her neck as if the decision was weighing heavily on her.
"I know," she muttered, her voice heavy with resignation. "I know. But they're not budging on this. Namjoon made it clear."
The room was quiet for a long moment, everyone lost in their own thoughts. I couldn't help but feel the pressure mounting.
This wasn't just about us anymore; it was about the foundation's vision for the project, and we had to find a way to balance both sides.
"Then we need to meet with them-face-to-face," I said finally, standing up from my chair.
My voice was firm, even though my mind was racing. "We're not letting this slide. Ha Eun please call a meeting this week, and we'll sit down with Namjoon himself. We need to make sure we're all aligned. I don't care if it's inconvenient. It's time to make this decision together."
