Chapter 23: Bears, Banter, and Bonding

I felt safe with him, loved, and every moment with him felt more precious than the last.

As I walked into the office floor, I sat down at my desk and immediately got to work.

We were preparing for a new update on the LoveMap app, one that focused on the Purple Heart Project.

This new feature was aimed at providing Regular Advocacy Updates, helping our users stay informed on ongoing social justice issues.

We wanted to offer real-time or weekly summaries on matters like bills affecting marginalized communities, racial justice movements, and global equity concerns.

It was a huge responsibility to make sure we provided these updates accurately and thoughtfully, but it felt meaningful.

My phone buzzed, and I didn't have to look at the screen to know who it was. It was Taehyung.

He had this contagious excitement that made it impossible not to smile when I thought about him.

We had all been so caught up in work lately, but it was clear that the longing to see each other again was there.

I laughed as I read his message.

Tae had also started calling us Noona and Hyung this past few days and it's honestly so heartwarming that he's getting comfortable with us ever since the amusement park.

His excitement tho was so palpable, it almost felt like I could hear his voice in my head.

I can't help it! I've never been on a safari before, and it's going to be even better because I get to go with you two 🥰💯.

I smiled at the screen, shaking my head.

Taehyung's enthusiasm was impossible to ignore. He had such a big heart, and I could tell that every little thing we did together meant so much to him.

It was impossible not to get swept up in it.

I glanced over at my phone again, noticing that Yoongi had already sent a message, as well.

His replies were always a bit slower, but that was just how he was-thoughtful and deliberate in his words.

I could almost hear his voice in my head as I read his text.

I snickered softly at that, imagining Yoongi's calm yet teasing way of keeping things light.

His subtle humor was one of the things I loved most about him.

The thought of him and Taehyung-so different in nature-brought a smile to my face.
