Chapter 23: Bears, Banter, and Bonding

Jiwon's eyes widened, and I could tell he was processing what I had just said. He was quiet for a moment.

Jiwon let out a low whistle. "Seven? That's... a lot, Tae." He chuckled lightly, though his expression was more thoughtful than amused.

"Are you sure you're ready for all of that? I mean, I get that this soulmate thing is different, but seven others? That's a lot of connections to manage."

I rubbed the back of my neck, feeling a little nervous under his gaze.

"That's what I'm worried about. I don't even know what to expect from this. It's... it's a lot to take in. I don't even know how to balance it all."

I glanced down at my phone, knowing that Yoongi and Y/N would probably message me soon, like they always did.

It was so easy to talk to them, but the idea of having so many soulmates, so many people to connect with-it made me nervous.

"I get what you mean," I continued. "It's... a bit overwhelming, honestly. Like, I feel this strong connection to Yoongi and Y/N already, but... what about the others? I don't even know what kind of connection I'll have with them. I mean, I'm not sure I'm ready for... that much of a relationship. Or, I don't know... multiple relationships?"

Jiwon tilted his head, his expression softening. "It's okay to be scared of it. But you've gotta trust the process, Tae. You're not in this alone. You've got Yoongi, Y/N... and me. We're all figuring it out together. And whatever happens, you'll handle it, because you always do."

I smiled at him, grateful for his support. "Thanks, man. I just don't want to mess things up, you know? I don't want to hurt anyone. But at the same time, I don't want to hold myself back from something that could be amazing. It's just... it's all happening so fast, and I'm trying to let it flow naturally, but it's still a lot to wrap my head around."

He nodded thoughtfully. "You're in a unique position, Tae, and it's okay to take it slow with each of them. You don't have to rush. Just enjoy getting to know them and see where it goes."

I let out a long breath, feeling the tension in my shoulders start to ease. "Yeah. I think you're right. I guess it's like with Yoongi and Y/N, right? We just clicked right away, and everything felt natural. Maybe it'll be like that with the others too? I don't know, I guess I just need to let things happen instead of overthinking it."

Jiwon grinned, clearly proud of my self-awareness. "That's the spirit. And who knows? Maybe you'll form some amazing connections with the others too. Just remember, you don't have to do everything all at once. Take your time."

I nodded slowly, feeling a little more at ease. "I'll try. It's just hard to stop overthinking, you know?"

"You'll figure it out," Jiwon assured me.

"And remember, you've got people who care about you. Yoongi, Y/N, me, Minji... we're all in this together."

Taehyung smiled softly, the warmth of Jiwon's encouragement settling in his chest.

"I really hope you're right, Jiwon," he muttered to himself. "Maybe this is the start of something amazing."

As his thoughts calmed and his fingers idly scrolled through his phone, a new message notification popped up.

His heart skipped a beat when he saw who it was from.
