Chapter 11: The Cake and the Confusion

I blushed, avoiding his gaze. "You're impossible."

He chuckled, enjoying every second of this. "You really are bad at keeping secrets. I don't think I've ever seen someone blush this much over something so simple."

I sighed, trying to gather my composure. "Fine, you got me. But you won't find out anything else. No more hints."

"Alright, alright," he said with a grin, clearly satisfied. "I'll let you have your little mystery. But I'll be expecting a really good surprise, Y/N."

"I'll make it worth the wait," I promised, though my heart was racing in anticipation of the big reveal.

Just then, he reached over and gently squeezed my hand. "I know it'll be great. You always put a lot of thought into everything."

I smiled, warmth spreading through me at the sincerity in his words. "Thanks, Yoongi."

He gave me a soft smile, his thumb gently brushing over my hand. "You're welcome, Y/N."

And just like that, everything else faded away.

For a moment, it was just us, sharing a quiet connection in the middle of all the teasing and chaos.

The morning of Yoongi's birthday, I was up earlier than usual, excitement buzzing through me like a current.

I'd spent days planning the perfect gift for him-a new soundbar that was sleek, powerful, and something I knew he'd appreciate-and today, I was going to give it to him.

But that wasn't all. I had something else planned to make his day special.

I grabbed the other items I'd been gathering over the past few days

his favorite coffee beans from the local café, a handful of birthday streamers, a festive birthday banner, and the little birthday hats I knew would make him roll his eyes but secretly love.

Everything was carefully packed, ready to be transported to his apartment.

The one thing I was still missing was the cake.
