As the evening wore on, we both relaxed further into the couch, the quiet hum of our apartment the only sound.
I open my eyes slightly as I hear a soft rustling from the other side of the room. I glanced up to see Wacha stretching lazily as she padded across the floor toward us.
She paused, looking up at us with her usual curiosity, before jumping onto the couch and curling up right next to Yoongi.
I couldn't help but laugh and roll my eyes at the scene. "Well, look at that," I teased, raising an eyebrow. "Seems like someone has a new favorite human."
Yoongi glanced down at Wacha, who was now purring contentedly against his side, her little paws kneading his leg as she settled in.
His expression was soft, a smile tugging at his lips. "She's got good taste."
I playfully slaps his back, pretending to be offended. "Oh, really? You think you're just gonna take my cat from me now?"
Yoongi chuckled, his gaze flicking back and forth between me and the contented cat. "I think she's just looking for a little extra attention. She's always been a bit of a flirt."
"Excuse me," I said, crossing my arms.
"She used to cuddle with me after a long day, but now she's all about you? Where's the loyalty?"
Yoongi smirked, his hand reaching over to scratch behind Wacha's ears, making her purr even louder. "I guess she just knows where the good company is."
I leaned against him with a dramatic sigh.
"I guess I'll just have to deal with it," I said, voice teasing. "But you better not get too comfortable. She's my cat."
"You're right," Yoongi said, looking down at Wacha with a gentle smile.
"I'll make sure to share her with you." He raised an eyebrow. "But you have to admit, we make a pretty great team."
I laughed, nudging him lightly with my shoulder. "I suppose so."
There was a brief, comfortable silence between us as Wacha settled into the crook of Yoongi's arm, her purring steady and calming.
It was a peaceful moment, the kind that was shared without need for words.
After a while, Yoongi shifted, his body closer to mine, and I felt the quiet pull of his presence.
He reached for me, his arm slipping around my shoulders, drawing me in.
The contact was familiar, warm, like home.
I relaxed into him, and for the first time that day, I felt my muscles loosen and my mind slow down.
The soft weight of his touch against my shoulder made everything feel a little bit better, a little less heavy.
Yoongi gently pressed a kiss to my shoulder, the gesture tender, and I felt it all the way down to my toes.
My body responded instinctively, a flutter running through me, the warmth of his lips lingering even after he pulled away.
"You're always so good to me," I whispered, my voice a little softer than usual.
"I don't want to be anywhere else," Yoongi murmured in return, his lips brushing against the top of my head in a quiet kiss. "This is where I'm supposed to be."
I closed my eyes, resting my head against his chest, savoring the steady rhythm of his heartbeat.
The world outside could wait. Here, in this moment, there was only Yoongi and me-and Wacha, of course, who was happily purring between us.
