Yeona:
Oh my god. You're hopeless. Just tell him the truth. You're into him. We all see it. 😏
I felt my face flush and quickly shoved the phone back in my pocket.
Suga, noticing my sudden change in demeanor, gave me a curious look.
"Everything okay?"
I nodded, too flustered to answer. "Yeah, yeah. Totally fine. Just... work stuff."
He raised an eyebrow, clearly not buying it, but he didn't press.
Instead, he leaned in slightly, his voice lowering. "Well, if you need anything... you know where to find me."
The words hung in the air between us, but before I could respond, my phone buzzed again.
This time, I ignored it.
"Thanks," I said, a little too breathlessly. "I... appreciate it."
Suga gave me a smile smile, that same enigmatic - almost a smirk - smile that always seemed to leave me speechless.
"No problem. Anytime."
As he walked out of the break room, I exhaled sharply, my heart still racing.

The weekend couldnt have come any faster, I knew it was time.
Time to tell Yeona the truth.
I had been avoiding it for days, but there was no way around it anymore. If I didn't talk to someone about this, I might just lose my mind.
The weirdest, most overwhelming thing had happened, and I couldn't go on pretending like it wasn't eating me up inside.
I quickly typed out a message to Yeona: "Hey, are you free to come over? I need to talk to you."
It took her all of two seconds to reply.
Yeona:
I'm on my way. Don't think you're getting away without spilling the beans.
I laughed, shaking my head at her reply.
Yeona was never one to let me get off easy. We both knew she wouldn't let it slide, not when I was acting so weird about it.
When she showed up, I greeted her at the door with a nervous smile.
She gave me a quick hug and walked straight to the couch, plopping down with a satisfied sigh.
She always looked so put-together, so calm, so... Yeona.
I, on the other hand, was a mess.
I was still holding my glass of wine like it was a lifeline, trying not to spill it as I sat down next to her.
She immediately grabbed her tumbler filled with tea she'd brought with her, settling it in her hands with an air of quiet confidence.
She was so effortless about everything. And then there was me, just trying not to knock over my glass while my hands were shaking.
"Okay, so... you're not going to believe this," I started, but my voice wavered a bit. Yeah, no pressure.
Yeona raised an eyebrow, leaning forward with interest. "What is it? Are you pregnant or something?"
I nearly choked on my wine. "What? No, no! Yeona, that's not even funny! I'm not pregnant."
I gave her a half-hearted glare, even though I was trying to stifle my laughter.
She always had a way of teasing me when I was already on edge.
She shrugged innocently, her lips curling into a mischievous smile. "Hey, you never know. You could've gotten yourself into some crazy situation, knowing you."
