I swallowed hard, a lump forming in my throat.
This was no longer just about the app or the system.
It was about me. About him.
About everything I had spent years avoiding coming to a head in this very room.
Suga leaned in slightly, his eyes intense but steady. “We don’t have to like it. We don’t have to understand it. But we do have to deal with it.”
I stared at him for a moment, the weight of his words settling deep in my chest.
Maybe, just maybe, he was right. Maybe this wasn’t about running anymore. Maybe it was time to face what we had created.
I nodded, my voice barely a whisper.
“Okay. Let’s figure this out.”
For the first time, I felt like I wasn’t alone in this.
I wasn’t sure whether that was a relief or the beginning of something much more complicated.
Suga didn’t smile, but there was something in his eyes—something that told me, without words, that this was just the beginning of the chaos we’d both have to navigate.
And as much as I wanted to fight it, I knew deep down that I couldn’t escape it anymore.

The seconds seemed to stretch in the security room, heavy with the air of unresolved tension.
It wasn’t just the room that felt suffocating—it was the weight of everything we hadn’t yet said, everything hanging between us like a storm cloud waiting to burst.
Suga was standing just across from me, his gaze steady but distant, as if waiting for me to break the silence.
I should say something, but my brain was swimming in a sea of disjointed thoughts.
Words felt like stones in my mouth, too heavy to spit out.
The room was too small, too cold, and yet, all I could focus on was the fact that he was standing there, watching me, waiting for me to say... something.
"So..." I said, clearing my throat in an attempt to sound more confident than I felt.
"We... need to figure this out, right?"
Suga tilted his head slightly, that familiar glimmer of a smile tugging at the corner of his lips.
I swear, it was as if his smile had a magnetic pull, drawing me in every time. It was small, barely there, but it made my stomach do an annoying little flip.
"Yes, Y/N," he said, his voice deep smooth and steady.
"We do."
I swallowed. How was he so calm? His composure was downright infuriating.
Here I was, a mess of anxious energy, probably looking like I hadn’t slept in days, and he was acting like he was discussing the weather.
It felt like a weird combination of intimidation and... something else. Something more.
"Right. Okay. So..." I exhaled, trying to collect my thoughts.
"Where do we even start? Because honestly, this whole situation feels like something out of a sci-fi novel. I’ve spent a few years ironically questioning the necessity of the app's idea of ‘soulmates,’ and now... well, I’m sitting here with you."
I gave a half-hearted, nervous laugh, but Suga didn’t seem put off by it.
His expression remained unreadable, though there was a flicker of something in his eyes—maybe amusement, maybe understanding.
