Since Wukong had been banished to 3 nights on the roof, by the next day his golden fur and clothes were finally completely dry, and Macaque allowed him back in the house, which means he got to eat breakfast inside!
But not until after Macaque forced him to take a shower to wash all that saltwater out of his fur and change into clean—not stiff with saltwater—clothes.
So by the time Wukong showered and changed into a pair of comfy clothes, Macaque was placing two plates of toast and eggs on the table along with a glass of apple juice each.
Releasing a chirp of excitement, Wukong zipped over and quickly sat down in his chair, causing Macaque to chuckle fondly before taking his own seat.
They both ate mostly in silence, only speaking every now and then, both currently more focused on eating their breakfast than talking.
Macaque ended up finishing his breakfast first and was sipping away at his apple juice when the floating screen that he was starting to hate appeared at the table with a new question.
Fighting back a groan, he read over the question with Wukong doing the same while he shoved the last of his breakfast in his mouth.
Any negative emotion he was feeling immediately was replaced with a smirk.
Macaque: Oh, I wear the pants in this relationship. It was unanimously voted on by our friends that Wukong be banned from making any huge life-changing decisions on his own.
Wukong could only whine and pout, for he could not argue with any of that because everything said was unfortunately true.
