To both: First off, HAPPY NEW YEARS! Second: got any New Year's resolutions?

Dinner time came around, and Macaque reluctantly got out of the comfortable nest to make them both dinner, which, when done, consisted of vegetables, fried eggs, mashed potatoes, and a small bowl of fruit. Plums for Macaque and peaches for Wukong.
Macaque and Wukong made small talk as they ate among the soft pillows and blankets of their nest, having decided to eat there instead of at the table after everything emotional that had happened that day.
They both stopped eating momentarily halfway through their meal when the floating screen showed up for the fourth time that day.
Both monkeys deadpanned at it before Wukong took another bite of his mashed potatoes and Macaque took another bite of his vegetables & fried eggs.
After swallowing his mashed potatoes, Wukong looked back at the floating screen and read the first question on it, his eyes lighting up at the offering of peaches & peach-flavoured/scented products.
Wukong: Ok, first off, I graciously accept your offering.
He gives Macaque a look, who just rolls his amber eyes at Wukong before making a shadow portal on the ceiling in one of the corners of the room, and a bunch of peaches & peach products fall out onto the ground before Macaque closes it and goes back to eating.
Wukong beams at all the peaches & peach products before clearing his throat and continuing.
Wukong: Secondly, my hobbies are eating peaches, peach-flavoured products, training MK, and finally spending time with my precious mate and the baby monkeys.
The golden monkey then ate the fried eggs on his plate along with a couple vegetables before looking back up at the screen.
Macaque also ate the rest of his fried eggs and vegetables before really focusing on the floating screen since it showed up again and read the last question with Wukong.
Macaque: New Year's resolutions, huh?
Both monkey demons hummed as they thought deeply on the question.
Macaque was the first one to give his answer.
Macaque: I have two New Year's resolutions: number 1 is to be there for MK whenever he needs me, and number 2 is to put on more shadow plays and bring in a bigger audience.
Wukong gave a soft smile at hearing Macaque's New Year's resolutions before speaking his own.
Wukong: I also have two New Year's resolutions: number 1 is to be a better mentor to MK, train him properly, and not keep important things from him anymore, and number 2 is to stop snacking on unhealthy peach-flavoured products while training MK and actually lose the bit of fat I gained from eating said snacks instead of actually training MK properly.
Macaque grinned at that last one.
Macaque: Good, because I REALLY want to see those abs that you used to have when we were younger again.
Wukong went stiff at Macaque's statement and let out a surprised chirp.
Macaque laughed softly at him before returning to his dinner.
