This ask is from Mihouliuer on AO3!: Question for both: did you know in monkey king 2009 Macaque has two cubs, cuz in the show an evil person kinda forced corruption magic into mac, and it was to much, and macs body in a attempt to level it used some of the magic to create 2 cubs which are now known as Rumble and savage :D

Three fluffy blankets were folded and placed into a black drawstring backpack with a star design decorating it. Once those were inside, several paints and brushes were also placed inside before black-furred tan paws pulled the strings, closing the bag that was now ready for a Journey North.

Wukong sat on the bed with a large pout on his face.

Sure, he was planning on going somewhere himself once Macaque left, but that didn't mean he wasn't going to be fucking lonely!

Throwing the drawstring backpack over his shoulder Macaque walked over to his mate and placed a soft kiss on his lips.

Macaque: Alright, I'm all packed and ready to head out to visit the Aurora Borealis. Please try and stay out of trouble while I'm gone, my Sweet Peach.

The golden simian puffed his cheeks and opened his mouth to speak only for the floating screen to appear with a new question.

Looking over at the floating screen, the dark simian groaned.

Macaque: Of course it shows up now.

Sighing, he placed a paw on his hip as he read the question over.

Wukong soon doing the same.

Macaque hummed. His six ears flicked, and his black tail swayed.

Macaque: I didn't know that. Since those kinds of shows don't exist here apart from Monkey King: The Animated Series and Monkey Cop. But those focus on the great Monkey King and not many others. I was, however, aware of the multiverse and that another version of Wukong and I had twin cubs named Rumble & Savage, so for another version of me to create two cubs by the exact same names doesn't really surprise me at all.

The golden king nodded along.

Wukong: Yes, the multiverse is a strange and complicated thing, so it also doesn't surprise me that another version of Macaque ended up creating two cubs while trying to dispel/level out another being's foreign magic from his body, especially if that magic was corrupted/evil.

His golden tail twitches.

Wukong: It is curious, though, that another version of us had twin cubs named Rumble & Savage, and now another version of Macaque has created two cubs by the same names. I mean, does every version of us just have a pair of these same twins running around or something?

The black simian hummed, also curious about that.

Macaque: Maybe only the versions that are together?

Wukong tilted his head.

Wukong: Yeah, maybe.

It fell silent for a couple moments before Macaque suddenly shrugged and started heading for the door.

Macaque: Welp, I'm off! See you in about a week, Wukong.

The King let out a startled chirp before quickly darting after him.

Wukong: Macaque, wait!

Pausing at the door, the warrior puffed out a soft breath and turned around.

Macaque: What is it, Wu—

His sentence was cut off when soft lips made themselves at home against his own.

Amber eyes widen for a second as the dark-furred monkey froze, and then once he registered what was happening, he quickly returned the kiss.

After a long minute, they pulled away. Both stared at each other. 

Wukong then gave Macaque a soft smile full of love.

Wukong: Be safe, my Sugarplum.

His black-furred angel blinked before giving him a grin. He responded with a purr in his chest.

Macaque: I will, Peaches. Don't you worry about that.

With that he left through the front door before dropping down into a shadow portal to begin the journey to see the Aurora Borealis again for the first time in centuries.

Wukong waited a few minutes to make sure Macaque was really gone before quickly snagging a bag of peach chips from the cabinet in the kitchen and exiting the hut himself.

Closing the door behind him, he summoned his somersault cloud and quickly sped off towards the heavens.
