This ask is from Mihouliuer in AO3!: Another question for wukong: so in jttw you killed macaque, there's a argument between people that the monk forced you to using the fillet, is this true or no? (Sorry if this brings up any trauma, I just been needing to know)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Macaque was currently glaring daggers. His precious black fur was soaking and dripping wet with seawater, AND IT WAS ALL WUKONG'S FAULT!
Said golden-furred Monkey King was doing his damn best not to make eye contact with his furious black-furred Shadow while sweating buckets worth of sweat as those amber eyes he loves so much currently glared daggers into him.
Macaque lashed his tail and opened his mouth to start ripping into his mate.
Unfortunately for Macaque, though very fortunately for Sun Wukong, the floating screen suddenly popped into existence between them.
Wukong noticed it from the corner of his eye and sighed in relief.
Macaque, on the other hand, growled at it briefly before taking a deep breath and sighing before making his way around the screen to stand next to his mate, crossing his arms as his eyes remained narrow, showing he's still slightly irritated.
Wukong scooted a bit away from his clearly still irritated mate to give him some more space to calm down before turning his sights onto the floating screen and reading the question upon it.
And quickly grew uncomfortable.
Macaque wasn't any better because his irritated mood skyrocketed again with an animalistic snarl falling from his lips as he bared his fangs.
Swallowing the lump in his throat, Wukong side-eyed the black monkey he happily called his mate before taking a number of deep breaths.
Wukong: Ok, so during the Journey To The West, you all already know that we had a bigand I mean BIG—fight that ended with Macaque, um... killed by my hands.
Macaque's tail was lashing again, and he was turning a glare back at his mate.
Wukong cleared his throat and continued.
Wukong: I GREATLY regret what I did to Macaque back then. He was my mate at that time too, and I KILLED him with my own hands.
He clenched his fist as it shook and took a shaky breath.
Wukong: The thing is, though...
Macaque's ear twitched when Wukong's sentence trailed off, and he couldn't help but turn his head to look at him with a small hint of curiosity in his amber eyes.
Macaque: But?...
Wukong glanced at his dark-furred mate for a second before looking at the ground with regret, sadness, and a small sigh.
Wukong: But, uh... I DID feel the circlet tighten slightly before I hit Macaque with the staff. I was actually aiming to knock him out, but the sudden pain of the circlet tightening... it not only made my aim be off but also the strength I used.
Macaque stared blankly at Wukong as the gears started turning in his head, piecing together everything the golden monkey just said.
Wukong watched as the gears turned in his mate's head, and when he saw something in his amber eyes click.
Wukong dived for cover.
Macaque started growling, but that growl quickly turned into an animalistic snarl, which then turned into an equally animalistic roar of pure anger and fury that had the whole house shaking.
Macaque: MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONK!!
