This ask is from LunarLindsay on Wattpad!: Question for wukong: what was your first thought when you seen macaque when you guys first met and what did macaque look like back then??
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Wukong was sitting on the deck of their hut, his golden fur and clothes still wet and very slowly drying in the warm breeze flowing through Water Curtain Cave.
An hour ago he had checked the door to find it still locked, which had made him pout.
I mean, yeah, he could have broken the door down, but that would just add to his already 3 nights sleeping on the roof, and he really didn't want that.
He also knew Macaque would just kick him out again since his fur & clothes were still soaked.
His ear twitched when he suddenly heard the door unlock. Straightening up, he turned his head and watched as Macaque opened the door.
Thinking he was being let back in, Wukong quickly stood and took a step forward, only to take that same step back when a plate was shoved into his hands.
Macaque: Here, dinner.
With those two words, the door was once again shut in his face and locked.
Huffing, Wukong plopped back down on the deck and looked at the plate in his hands.
The dinner Macaque had handed him consisted of three things: flat spaghetti with creamy tomato sauce, 2 pieces of garlic bread, and finally, 2 mozzarella sticks.
Though one thing he noticed he didn't have was a fork, and he was about to yell as such at the door when a small shadow portal suddenly dropped one onto his lap.
Wukong stared at it for a second before shrugging, picked it up, twirled some spaghetti onto it, and shoved it in his mouth with a happy hum, his tail wagging a little in the air behind him.
Chewing it thoroughly so he wouldn't choke, Wukong swallowed just as the floating screen appeared in front of him again.
Wukong read over the question as he twirled more spaghetti onto his fork and popped it into his mouth and started chewing slowly.
Swallowing, he pointed his fork at the screen.
Wukong: Well, like I said in the last ask, I met Macaque at the hidden hot spring. He was sitting in the shallows with his head back, eyes closed, and the full moon was shining down upon his beauty, illuminating his gorgeous, fluffy black fur.
He picked up a mozzarella stick and took a bite.
Wukong: Now if you asked me what my first thought was when I first met Macaque back then, I'd have said it was, "Oh, my Buddha, he's just like me!" because cub me thought his lava-hot face and the feeling he got in his gut was gas when actually it wasn't.
He threw the rest of the mozzarella stick in his mouth.
Wukong: But if you asked me now what my first thought was when I first met Macaque, I'd say he was the most beautiful and breathtaking black-furred angel I ever had the pleasure of laying my golden eyes upon.
Swallowing the food in his mouth Wukong next picked up a piece of garlic bread, a crunch filling his ears as he took a bite.
Chewing, the king brushed some crumbs off his still wet shirt before speaking again around the food in his mouth.
Wukong: As for what he looked like back then, Macaque looked like a black-furred angel, his thick, fluffy fur flowing in the water and illuminated by the full moon. In the moonlight, his amber eyes shone a weird purple colour, but Buddha, was he the most beautiful thing my young cub eyes had ever laid upon, even if I didn't know it back then.
Wukong swallowed and let out a small chuckle.
Wukong: I guess I always knew I'd end up mated to Macaque after that first meeting. My cubself just never understood what he was feeling, though.
With that he shoved the rest of the piece of garlic bread into his mouth and got back to his dinner as he waited for his fur & clothes to finish drying so Macaque would let him back inside.
