Wukong was still in the kitchen sipping away at his water when the question on the floating screen still in front of him changed. 

Wukong glanced up at it and slowly removed the glass from his lips and placed it on the counter before starting to read the new question carefully.

Once he did, he started giggling, and his tail took on the shape of a heart.

Wukong: I know, right! Thank you for the compliment. It REALLY boosts my self-love! Go ahead and squish my cheeks for a bit. I don't mind!

Macaque walked back into the kitchen, rubbing at his mouth, looked up at the floating screen, saw a new question on it, read the new question, and growled.

Wukong jumped at the sudden growl behind him and quickly turned around to give his mate a confused look.

Wukong: Macaque, you alright, love?

Macaque didn't answer. 

Only stomped over to Wukong, grabbed him by the front of his shirt, and pulled him into a kiss.

Wukong yelped at the sudden action and flailed his arms a bit.

Now Wukong would have normally leant more into the kiss and maybe even deepen it, but a sour taste on the dark-furred simian's lips had Wukong quickly breaking the kiss and sticking his tongue out in disgust with a small gag.

Wukong: Ugh! Ew! gross! Why do your lips taste like vomit, Mac?

Macaque narrowed his eyes at the floating screen, then looked back at his mate with the same glare, his tail lashing angrily.

Macaque: You're mine!

Wukong's eyes widen at the unusual possessiveness in Macaque's voice, never having heard it before.

Wukong: Wha-!

Wukong was silenced when Macaque pulled him into another kiss, and when he tried to protest and tell Macaque to brush his teeth and lips before kissing him again, Macaque just deepened the said kiss with a loud, possessive growl.

Macaque didn't appreciate someone trying to take his mate from him. Not one bit.

An anyone who tries could fucking FIGHT HIM because Macaque isn't losing his mate.
