I wake up feeling almost guilt dressing over me

I was going to tell Benny today and I couldn't stop thinking of how he'd react

I mean I have known him forever and if I'm right he's also had a crush on me for a long time

So both of us getting one summer of our dream relationship before being pulled apart seems so shitty

"What rat died in your bed?" I look at my brother with a what the fuck look

"It's a saying" he defends

"That is not a saying Jordan" I point my index finger up

I go back into my room and change into the same old outfit

I then brush my teeth and do two Dutch braids in my hair

I hear my dad call for me once I'm done braiding my hair

"Y/n someone is here to see you!" I practically jump down the stairs

"Lover boy" I smile out of breath

"Mi amor" I blush a little

"My mama said you wanted to talk to me?" I nod remembering the conversation we needed to have

"Uh yeah" I say

"Well good because I wanted to talk to you to" I nod

We go back up to my room

"Okay so what did you want to talk about?" Maybe this will be better?

"Well you know schools starting and I was wondering how you would feel if I found a loophole so we have all our classes together?" I smile

He starts walking back and forth ranting about school and us and he's so invested i can't let him get more excited

"Benny I have to move" I blurt out

"What?" He scoffs I think he thought I was joking

"My my dad got a new job we're moving in three days when school starts" his smile fades instantaneously

"How far? will I see you?" I shake my head no

"It's a 4 hour drive from here I won't be back until Christmas and then not until at least summer break" I look down at my feet

When I lift my head I'm met with a heartbroken face

"I'm sorry" I say softly before hugging him

"This is so unfair I just got you and now your leaving?" Benny pulls away from the hug

"It's like everything in the universe is trying not to have us be together" I chuckle he agrees

"Three days, wow.well maybe I should give you a few hickeys to keep the guys off you for at least the first few days" he smirks

"Benny no boy is going to chase after me" he raises and eyebrow

"Y/n darling have you seen yourself in a dress or not even that just in normal day clothes I'd be lucky if twenty guys only gave their number to you within the first week" I blush

"Hm so your worried someone else will catch my attention?" He shakes his head

"No no no because I know you love me I'm worried about those horny ass teens at whatever weird school your going to" i scoff

"Eden hall is the school I'm going to" he gives a weird look

"They don't even do baseball" he comments

"THATS WHAT I SAID!" I yell

"Okay now your leaving in two days rught?" I nod as he walks closer

"Ok so how about tonight we have a date and do a bunch of couple things as our last goodbye sort of?" I nod my head happily

"What should I wear?" He pauses

"Well you look good in everything but a dress?" I say yes happy I get to wear something pretty

"Okay it's a date I'll pick you up around 6?" He tilts his head a little

"Yes you will lover boy" I give him a kiss

"Now what will we be doing on this date?" I question as we both pull from the kiss

"Whatever you want" I smile

"Movie theatre then staring at the stars having deep conversations with each other on the sandlot?" He chuckles

"Yes definitely" I laugh with him and give him another long kiss

"Hey love birds break it up" I hear my brother barge into my room

I flip him off a ck to ur kissing Benny for a few seconds

"What Phillips?" I look at him a little annoyed

"We're picking stuff into a van wanna help?" I nod rolling my eyes

I grab a closed and labeled box Benny grabs another box and helps me with my stuff

"Your really leaving huh?" Benny breaks the silcence which had tention building

"I wish I never had to say yes to that question" he chuckles

"How is this going to work y/n" he gestures between us

"I don't know long distance?" I shrug

"We should make a pact" he suggests

We grab two pieces of paper and start writing a list of things we will and won't do during me being gone

Cliche I know

1.I won't talk to any boys and Benny won't talk to any girls

2.I will write a letter every day and we'll call once daily for at least 15 minutes no matter how busy

3.we won't break up unless it's in person or in a actual conversation

4.miss eachother every day

5.never date kiss or flirt unless with eachother

6.say if we think we might have feelings for someone else

7.never stop liking baseball y/n (form Benny)

"Ok Phillips do you swear to follow these rules for ever?" I nod

"I swear" I ask the same thing to Benny

Then we shake hands taking one another's pages with the rules

"Salute to you fine sir" I stand like I'm in military

"And salute to you ma'am" he follows my actions
