Pt.65 Dad comes home

I woke up the same time I usually do and got dressed

I was excited because my dad was coming home and I haven't seen him in almost a week

"Phillips get up!" I shake my brother as he's still asleep

"Fuck off" he says in a groggy voice

"Fine" I pull his blankets off then turn on his lights before I leave his room

I hear Jordan yell some stuff at me but ignore it

I go back to my room and get changed into some Jean shorts and a tank top

I know what a shocker

After I'm dressed I must my hair before brushing it because I didn't want it to get frizzy

I brush my teeth put mascara on ect before going downstairs to make some breakfast

I pull out a recipe for pancakes and start mixing the ingredients

And then I put the batter on a pan making at least 10 pancakes then i do the same by cooking eggs and bacon

I set the table with three plates forks knives and cups placing the eggs bacon pancakes orange juice and condiments in the centre of the table

"Oo pancakes" my brother reaches his hand to the plate

I slap it away "wait for dad idiot" he rolls his eyes

I hear a car pull into the driveway and I look out the window seeing the familiar blue car parking

"Dads home!" I yell out to wherever my brother has disappeared to

"Coming!" I hear him yell back from up stairs

I go into the main bathroom quickly making sure there's no food or anything on me before I hear chase barking and a door closing

"Kids! I'm back!" I walk out and see my dad with his suitcase and duffel bag

"Hey dad!" I hug him

"Hey" my brother hugs him as well

"Do I smell pancakes?" My dad sniffs the air

"Yup I made some breakfast for when you got back" he smiles

Jordan takes his luggage upstairs as me and dad sit at our usual spots of our table

Jordan come back and we all grab some food starting to eat

"So how was the trip?" I ask finishing a strip of bacon

"Good, but I have something to tell both of you" my dad says in a almost sad tone

"What's up?" Jordan asks

"Well I was actually there for business but not for where I'm working right now" I look at him confused and so does my brother

"I was there applying to a job and they accepted me" I smile

"That's great dad. But why do you seem unhappy?" He sighs

"Well we have to move" I almost choke on a pancake

"Do we still get to stay at the same school?" Jordan asks

"No we're going to move to a town that's about a 4 hour drive from here"

"4 hours?!?" I gasp

"So where are we going to go to school?" I ask

"You'll be switching to eden hall when the school year starts and I think you'll love it there it's a great school and community" I frown

"Do they have a baseball team?" I ask
