Friends? Or lovers?

Pt.45 hospital

I pull away from the hug and look into y/n's puffy eyes she wipes a tear away and tries gathering herself

"Ok now why does the hospital need me" her voice was shaky but calm

"I don't know honestly but they need to know her mental state which is why they need you and me I think" she nods and takes my hand walking down stairs

We rush to the hospital and as soon as we get there we're met by my mama a doctor and a different person

"Mama uhm y/n is here" I tap my mom on the shoulder gently

My mom quickly turns around and hugs y/n giving multiple kisses to her forehead comforting her

"Y/n Phillips?" One of the doctors asked

"That's me" y/n tries sounding confident but fails

"Would it be ok if I ask you a few questions?" Y/n gives me a glance J nod

"Is Benny going to be with me?" The doctor is a little taken a back

"Uh uhm he can be?" It sounded more like a question than an answer

"Then he will" y/n grabs my hand and we follow the doctor to a secluded room

We sit down me beside y/n and the doctor on the opposite side of my and y/n

"Y/n Benny did Kacy have any mental issues or illnesses that you were aware of?" We shake our heads

"Did she ever seem like very unmotivated and sad in small periods of time then fine again?" I shake my head no but y/n is hesitant

"She would sometimes skip school for a week or so every few months because she couldn't afford to try and pull herself out of bed but she wouldn't do this" the doctor jots stuff down

"Now was there anything going on in her life that might have triggered her to do something like this?" Me and y/n look at eachother

"Well she was dating a abusive boyfriend and actually she broke up with him today before... well before this" I answered with y/n at my side agreeing

"Doctor.. will Kacy be put into the psychiatric unit when she's awake?" I looked at y/n confused

*what the hell as a psychiatric unit?*

"It's possible, we don't want something like this to happen again and so we will need to give her all the support she can get medically and mentally" we both nod

"Those are all the things that I need to ask but if either of you think of something that could be important about how Kacy acted before just come to me, or get the nurses to call mrs. Stevens down okay?" The doctor had a calm voice on

She was trying to not make thing more anxious then it already was

"Okay" y/n was trying to hide her emotions again I don't know why

We got up the doctor led us down the hallway back to my mama

"Just so you all know visiting hours will be over in about half an hour" the doctor told us

"Is there any way I can stay here?" My mom asked having a face of hope

I looked between my mom and the doctor before the doctor nodded

"Yes I can have them bring one cor for you but I'm afraid the two kids won't be allowed to stay" my mom glances at me

"Can I ask why?" They looked at me

"Just a hospital rule" i nod

My mom pulls me and y/n aside to talk to us

"Y/n I told your dad what happened on the phone, I also told him that you might stay with us for a few nights just in case something happens since we are ten minute drive closer" y/n nods
