Time skip like two days

I wake up really excited

Tomorrow is my 16th birthday. The sweet sixteen

"I love my birthday I love getting presents cake having people say oh happy birthday and I love how my birthday is on forth of July because it's like all the fireworks that go off are for me and for my birth" I started talking to myself which I do a lot

I got changed into the same outfit I wore yesterday a black tank top with jean shorts

"Hey y- ahh jeez lock your door!" I hear my brother yell as I'm putting on my shorts

"Your the one who walked in without knocking idiot!" I snap back

"Are you decent?" He asks from the other side of the door

"Yes and are you 50?" I remarked

"Shut it!" He says opening the door again

"What did you want anyways weirdo?" I say rolling my eyes

"Well I wanted to ask you something because I don't understand how you can be okay with it" he responds

"Be ok with what?" I ask putting my hands on my hips

"Oh yiu don't know well..." he gives a dramatic pause

"Spit it out I don't have all day Jordan!" I'm now annoyed

"Fine! Kacy and Jake are dating!" My eyes widen and I can feel my heart skip a few beats

"No you have got to be joking that is not fucking funny Phillips" I have anger in my voice

"I'm not kidding they were on a date yesterday I even saw them kiss and all" he looked like he was enjoying telling me

"Fuck of get out of my way!" I push past him grabbing my bat glove and a baseball hat

I put the hat on and storm out of my house and I started straight to Kacys house

Once I get there I knock on the door impatiently

Benny opens it "hey y/n you look rea-" I cut him off

"Thanks Benny but I have got something to take care of" I punch past him and run up the stairs

I barge into Kacys room

"What the hell!" Kacys asks in annoyance

"JAKE KACY FUCKING JAKE!! Why?!?!" I didn't even care if Benny or Katrina heard me because I was pissed

"Y/n I don't know what your talking about" she was lying I could tell because her tone always sounded shaky

"Oh don't give me that bullshit Kacy we both know what I'm talking about!! Your dating that asshole Jake!" I was fed up

"He's not a asshole!" She responds

"OH REALLY THEN WHAT IS HE WHAT DO YOU WANT TO CALL HIM THE GUY WHI ABUSED ME!?!?!?" I yell again

"He said he didn't mean it and it's none of your business who I date!" I stare

"It is when you date the one guy who is the most rude person in our whole town! And anyways I'm your best friend what do you mean it doesn't matter to me?!"

"Well right now you don't seem like my friend at all!!" I feel numb when I heard that

She gasps then slaps her hands on her mouth

"Y/n y/n I didn't mean it" she pleads

I feel a tear fall down my face I wipe it away "just shut it Kacy!" I walk out and slam her door before she can even follow me

I see Benny staring at me as I try to walk past him but he stops me

"Y/n dont just act like nothing happened" he says I look at him he looks content

"I don't know what else to do I mean she's dating Jake" I bury my head in his shoulder

"You serious, that's just fucked up" I chuckle at his remark

"Y/n I think you shouldn't go to the sandlot" he tells me

"No I need to u need to get my mind off your butch of a sister no offence" I say unburying my face

"Okay but don't go hitting me in the eye" he chuckles

"I would never hit that cute face" I saw cupping his face with one of my hands

"I don't have a cute face" he stands taller then makes his voice lower "I have a manly face" I chuckle

"Mhm sure Benny okay now let's go" I say walking down the stairs

He follows and opens the front door for me "bye mama!" He yells as we leave

time skip to when your at the sandlot

"Finally your here!"

"Where were you two?"

" Probably making out"

"Yeah yeah they we're probably swoonin for eachother!"

I hear a bunch of remarks from the boys

"Base up blockheads!" Benny said

"Ok ok let's just start playing" kenny responds

I decided to bat first and so the rest get into their positions

I get into stance fake swinging a few times

"Ready Phillips or should I go easy on you?" Kenny snickers

"Give me all you got!" I say back

"Ok here's my heater I dare you to hit it"

I watch him as he winds his arm and launches the ball towards me

I focus in on the Val and I swing as hard as I can and I hear the bat hit the ball so I drop the bat and start running

I then see the ball go over the fence but instead of landing in mr myrtles yard it goes over his house

"Woah y/n you just hit like the ultimate homer" squints says amazed while wiping his glasses on his shirt

"Huh I guess I did" I said to myself staring at Mr.myrtles hard as I got back to home base
