(a Little bit before seeing y/n)

Me and Scotty were bored, because most of the boys weren't allowed to sleepover because they were 'out to much' which meant it was only me and Scotty for the rest of the night

"Got any ideas yet Scotty?"

"Nope what about you?" He said sighing

"Nothing"

"Why don't we ask your mom, usually mien has ideas of things we could do"

"Sure let's give it a shot" I get up from my bed and I go downstairs Scotty trailing behind

"Hey mama"

"Yes dear"

"Me and Scotty were wondering if you had any ideas if things we could do because we have nothing and we're really bored" I admit

"You could go to the carnival" she suggests

"I don't have any money mama" I admit hoping she'd pay

"Here's $2.50 the fees exactly 1.25 so there shouldn't be change"

"Thank you mama!" I give her a quick hug then run out the door with Scotty to the carnival

"Be back by 9:30!" I hear her yell

"Okay we will!" I yell back

We start walking to the carnival, me and Scotty are talking about baseball stuff when he asks a random question

"Benny, how do you know if someone likes you?"

"What smalls?" I laugh

"How do you know if someone likes you? Because I like this girl but I don't know if she likes me back"

"Wait smalls you likes someone!? Why didn't I know about this sooner?"

"Because I didn't want all the guys making fun of me" he mumbles

"Ok that's fair" I chuckle

"Well who do you like?"

"See here's the thing, you know Jake?"

"Of course I hate him"

"Well he has a little sister same age as me"

"You like jakes sister?!?" I look at him completely shook

"Y-yeah" he looks away "she isn't like Jake and the tigers though she actually nice"

"I mean I think you should just go for it smalls, just ask her straight up"

"Are you serious" he looks up at me

"Yeah man, and plus maybe you could get some help from y/n I'm sure she knows jakes sister"

"Your right, now I just got to figure out how to talk to her"

"Ok I can help with that but for now let's go have some fun!" I smile

We turn into the carnival parking lot and jog our way to the ticket booth
