Chapter 44: Home Eavesdroppers

"Ow! WhAt d0 y0u k3eP iN tHoSe p0ck3tS? BriCkS?"I ask

He snatches his cloak away and frowns, shaking his head while looking alarmed.

"No! Of course not! There's nothing to worry about!"He says

"Uh-HuH....Y0u s3em jUmpY...ArE y0u uP t0 sOmeThInG?"I ask, glancing at him with narrowed eyes suspiciously.

He seems a bit too jumpy so it's a bit suspicious.

"N-No! Of course not! Not any big plans or anything! That'd be crazy!"He says

"RiiGhT...."I say, only more suspicious.

Soon he was in his cloak again, snuggling me in bed, and dozed off with his arms wrapped around me. I smile, kissing him on the head. Then my phone rings so I answer, finding that Romantica is calling this time.

"HeLlO?"I say

"Hello, Error. Did you do it?"She asks

"YeP, hAd s0m3 c0mPliCaTiOnS bUt i g0t tHe deAL aS y0u t0lD m3 t0. Th0s3 idi0tS n3arLy sCrEwEd tHe d3aL i maDe w1tH tHeM."I say

"Hmm, I think I know a few gods that could provide more security for your future if those beings are so unstable. How are you doing with your plan anyway?"

"PrEtTy g0oD. I haVe tHe pRepaRaTi0ns hiDdEn anD gAtHer1nG t0g3tHeR."I say

"Does he have a clue?"

"N0, h3 hAsn'T cAuGhT 0n. BuT h3 iS deFiNiTeLy uP t0 s0m3tHiNg."I say

"Well I think you should come see me before he catches on or things unravel. There are some things that I have to tell you."

"Go sEe y0u? bUt i Am wItH ReApEr rIgHt nOw."I say as he shifts over in bed.

"Well it would be better for you to get to me right now. Do you still have the rose I gave you?"

"YeP, i hAvE tHe rOsE."I say

"Okay, just hold it and you'll be transported to me."

"AnD yOu'Re SuRe tHaT nOw iS a gOoD tImE tO seE yOu?"

"Yep. It's in your best interest, trust me."

I see Reaper's eye open as he glances up at me. I gently pat his head and he shuts it.

"Ok, i wiLl s3e y0u s0on."I say, slipping out of his hold.

I grab the rose after hanging up, getting transported to Romantica.

"Alright, so I know a few gods that could possibly help. The gods of commitment and family could help you since the deal is already meant to give you security. But you might want to handle Gaster. He's trying to experiment again and convince the other gods to let him do his plan as if Reaper and your kids didn't cut ties with him. He has made odd comments saying that he wants to see what more grandkids or great-grandkids would look like and which couples give the best kids. So maybe you should remind him to stay away from your family."She says

"Oh I'd bE gLaD tO giVe hIm a fEw rEmInDeRs."I say

"Alright. Then let's start arranging the next steps. I'll plan some time for us to talk with the other gods. It'd be best to get their support or blessing if things are to go as planned. Which one should we see first? The commitment or the family one? I think the commitment one would be fitting for the planned marriage but it's honestly up to you, Error."She says

I pause, thinking about it for a few moments. Yeah...There needs more preparations for things to go right now that I think about it. Everyone can relax while I manage this plan. They'll have fun and this will be something simple instead of the chaotic mess we just got out of... 

"I tHiNk sEeKiNg a bLeSsInG fRoM tHe fAmIlY oNe wOuLd bE mOviNg tOo fAsT. We hAvEn'T eVeN sPoKeN oF hAviNg mOrE kiDs yEt sO I dO aGrEe wItH yOuR chOiCe. MaRrIAgE cOmEs fiRSt."I say

"How do you feel about this, Error? I know this plan may seem like a lot but it's only going up from here for you, trust me. And this plan, this relationship, is the best way to get up from here. This will make your proposal go smoothly and ease you into the vision that rose contains."She says with a nod and a big smile

"Oh I'Ve nEvEr bEeN hApPiEr. JuSt piCtUrIng iT mAkEs mE sMiLe."I say, smiling widely

"Do your kids know about this?"

"OnLy ShInO, my dAuGhTEr bUt i tHiNk sHe aPpRoVeS. ShE sAyS sHe wOn'T sElL hEr knOwLeDg3 t0 rEaPeR f0r aNyThInG sO i kNoW sHe ApProVeS eNoUgH tO nOt rUiN iT."I say

"Good. The last thing needed is more trouble or for things to be spoiled before it's complete, right?"She says

I nod.

Then there's a loud booming heard as the door is blown off its hinges and Gaster bursts in, marching right over to us.

"What is the meaning of this little meeting? I heard that last line! What are you scheming and why would a destroyer be plotting something with the goddess of love?"He asks

"Oh jUsT gEt lOsT."I say, tying him in strings and sending him back out.

"Someone's going to be very lucky to have a certain Glitchy.~"She giggles

"Don'T sAy tHaT."I say

"Too soon?"She says

"JuSt gEt tHe pLaNS iN oRdEr wHiLe I hAnDlE hIm. I hAvE cUdDlEs t0 rEtUrN tO bEfOrE ReApEr nOtiCeS."I say

"...Shit."I hear a voice say

I glance over to the back door, opening it to find Reaper falling inside after leaning against it. I shake my head with a sigh.

"So we have TWO eavesdroppers! How lovely...What to do with him?"She says as Reaper nervously glances up at me.

So much for a relaxing time where everything is simple.
