Hello everyone and welcome.
Before you start reading this story there are several things I want to clarify.
1. I didn't like the 4th movie in the Saga... I didn't like it at all.
2. This story will be, like the previous ones, a reinterpretation of the film. So reading this would be like watching a Spoiler. I recommend watching the original movie first.
3. Previous changes will be applied. Example. Shifu died, as did Li and Peng, Po's parents. That remains, as does Tai Lung's attitude.
4. This will happen after the 4th movie I wrote. Sun Wukong's.
I'm going to be honest with you. When I started writing this fanfic in March 2023, this movie had not even been mentioned yet, and as soon as I saw the trailer, I knew that it wouldn't like it. Unfortunately I was right. Sometimes I think producers just don't understand when a story deserves an ending... But hey... That's how this world is.
This film will be a dark version of the original, a product of my refusal.
In the three previous films, Po always had to improve, mature... In this one it just seems like they didn't care, just to make some jokes for an audience under 12 years old. It's even hard for me to think that the 2nd film and this 4th are from the same saga.
Unfortunately, I cannot build on a cracked foundation. In this story Po will not have personal development either. After all, this is a readaptation, not a story from scratch. I hope you'll excuse me for that. But instead, I hope to make Zhen's past worthwhile. One that demonstrates your own development.
