September 19th, 2017:

It was the afternoon now and we had just arrived at the Knowing Bros studio. This was our first time on the famous show, and our first time in a long time all together as a team doing a variety show that wasn't managed by our own team like Run BTS.

"Why am I so nervous," I chuckle, trying to alleviate my stress.

"No, I am too," Jungkook pats my knee.

I was in the usual girl school uniform for the show consisting of a white button-down, with a pattern behind the button section of the shirt, a short gray pleated skirt, long knee-length socks, and loafers. The stylists had added a few light waves to my hair for more volume. I had also elected to wear thin round glasses frame for a more mature, cute look.

Jungkook got up to get his hair styled and Yoongi took his place. He went on his phone, and we sat in silence for a bit, but I couldn't help but want someone to know before we went out.

"I'm really nervous oppa," I whisper, leaning over.

"Why?" he looks up from his phone a little confused.

"I'm literally going to be the only girl," I say, "and you know how older men are on shows whenever a girl shows up... I'm just tired of dealing with that and I don't want to be sexualised or anything..."

It had been on my mind since we'd agreed to appear on the show. I had gotten so comfortable within our own BTS bubble that interacting with other variety show hosts and producers I didn't know, especially men, made me highly uncomfortable and nervous.

"Don't worry, they're good guys," Yoongi tries to reassure me, "they're not gonna cross the line".

I look at him, still not convinced.

"I don't think you see how our line is a lot less forgiving than theirs..." I point out, "there literally hasn't been a time where there hasn't been one awkward or sexist comment made about me when we've been on variety shows hosted by men".

"I understand, but you're a respected, Billboard winning, idol now," he says seriously, "they also know about your reputation. They won't do anything to upset you and ARMY. Trust me. And if anything happens, don't worry, the boys and I won't let it slide. Seokjin's good with the quips back and making it seem sarcastic but not. We've got your back".

I smile slightly, thankful for his words. He was right, the boys were much more aware of my feelings towards such comments and more aware of them as a whole. We also weren't rookies anymore, a far cry from it, so people had to be kinder to us thanks to the power of ARMY. He was right, it was going to be fine. This was going to be fun, I had to loosen up.

A staff had come to collect us while the 7 main hosts of the show were doing an introductory skit. We were told they'd keep going until we abruptly interrupted them as was customary for the arrival of the guests.

"You open the door," Namjoon points to Taehyung who was at the head of the group.
