April 11th, 2017:

We hiked to see the beautiful Akaka Falls. The boys joked around a bit while taking pictures once we got there. We then moved on to higher ground that had tables and a rest area to relax a bit, drink some water, and use the restroom if we needed to.

"How long have we been hiking?" Seokjin said tiredly, "two hours?"

"Twenty minutes," I answer chuckling.

"Really? It feels like two hours," Seokjin complains, reaching the top of the stairs.

We reach the top and we're handed water bottles as we're told the next step in the agenda. We would pick up food at a famous local restaurant and go to Liliuokalani Park to eat it picnic-style.

While in the van on the way to the restaurant, we looked at the menu debating what to get. Once at the restaurant, the producers revealed we'd go in one by one to order by ourselves. much to the fear of all the members other than Namjoon. A staff goes in to check with the restaurant and set up a cameraperson.

"One by one?" Taehyung says, suddenly looking a little unsure.

"Rap Mon, you can go first," the producer smiles.

Slowly each group member went, declaring different levels of difficulty. Jungkook said it was a piece of cake, only after he had rehearsed the lines to order with me twenty times in the van beforehand.

"See you soon," I wave getting out of the van.

I walk into the relatively busy restaurant and go to the counter seat reserved by our staff. A kind-looking elderly lady came up to me as I sat down.

"A girl!" she exclaimed, "there more of you coming?"

"No, just me," I smile.

"Oh, that's too bad," the woman winked, "so, what can I get for you".

"Umm, I think I'll get the coconut pancakes please," I respond, looking through the menu one last time.

"I take it that's a three-piece set," she clarifies, "not just one".

"Um, yes please," I nod.

"Where are you from? What is that accent?" she asks slightly confused, "that's not American is it?"

"I'm Canadian," I say, then see her still confused face given I had a slight mix of a mostly French but a bit of a Korean accent when I spoke English, "French Canadian".

"Ah, I see, it's an interesting accent, unique," she smiles kindly at me, "are you going to want anything to drink?"

I had never thought much about my English accent, probably mostly because in Korea, everyone was impressed by my English regardless of my accent and when I was in other countries, they typically knew I was a foreigner and didn't question it. Or they hadn't really historically.
