PERFECT. That's all Lacy knew growing up. It wasn't like someone forced her or she was told she had to be perfect all the time.
It was just something that came naturally to her, like she had something or someone's acceptance to gain.
So when her father told her she was the daughter of Aphrodite the goddess of love, she had a hard time accepting it. This meant she wasn't the same as others, didn't belong with them, and certainly wasn't anywhere near perfect.
She wasn't sure of anything when she was forced to face the hard truth in Camp half-blood, but what she was sure of was that she just wanted to go back to her old school, her old friends, her old life and her old bestfriend, Percy.
He would've known what to do if he was in her shoes. That was something she knew for sure. They had been friends since forever and always had eachothers back so leaving him with no explanation hurt her. It was the same case with her other friends but especially him.
