#114 Max - Our song

Mackenzie Bontempo had many faces and jobs in those one shots, but this time I decided to make her a singer, just like Danna is.

KENZIE POV: It's almost the end of the winter break for Max, which I decided to be perfect moment for this surprise I have for him. 
-Kenz, really, where are you taking me? And why do I have to be blindfolded for that!?- his constant questions and child-like curiousity never stop to amaze me, really...
-Do you trust me Schatsje?- I replied instead, trying not to laugh and get us to our destination in one piece. For this particullar ocasion, because of the blindfold, I needed to drive us there, which is extra uncomfortable for Max. To put it simply, he HATES being a pasenger, when he could drive instead.
-Of course lief. What it has to do with that?
-That I'll get us where we need to be on time and in one piece, your car included.
-Ok. But why I cannot see?
-Because it would ruin the surprise! Now stop asking questions and relax. We're almost there!
-Ok- he grumbled, clearly not happy, making me giggle and give his hand a short squezze. 
-You'll like it, I promise!- I assured him for the last time and then parked in empty parking spot, in front of my recording studio. 
After that, I killed the engine and got out of the car, to help Max exit it as well and then guided him into the building and then to the right floor via elevator. 
-Wait for me here and when you hear the click of the door, take the blindfold off, ok?
-Ok.
-You trust me, Max?- I hesistated, wishing that I could look into those loving ice-blue eyes, but it would ruin the surprise, so I stopped myself, not happy.
-Yeah. I'm good.
-Ok- I exhaled and then kissed him for the last time, before leaving the room, to enter the recording booth. "Surprise underway..."

NARRATOR POV: As Max was left alone, in barerly lit room, he took of the blindfold and found a note left on the coffee table right before him. Curious, he reached for it and opened it, right away recognizing his girlfriend's handwritting.
"I have a surprise for you. Put on these headphones and enjoy. M"- was written on it, and Max did as told, leaving the note in place where he found it.
As he did, all the lights iluminated, showing him whole console and other room, where Kenzie was standing and grinning wide, with matching headphones on her head. Soon after, Max's ears filled with soft music and he understood.

After she ended, silence descended upon them, but the nice one. Slowly, Kenzie put back the headphones and exited the room, to join Max, who also slipped the headphones off his head.
-And? What do you think?
-I love it. You're SO talented Kenz! And I can't believe you wrote it with thinking about us...
-Yeah. Us and, sadly, the rumors and hatefull coments that are around...
-Don't think about it! It's really beautiful and I love it. That's all that matters.
-Ik houd van jou.-hou ook van jou- he replied, and kissed her softly. It was indeed beautifull surprise...
