The night is thick and dark,
But the moon shines bright past the clouds, stars of friends,
Lights of hope.
I need not to fret,
As I lay, starring aimlessly through closed eyelids,
For I am still young.
She may not be mine anymore,
But someday, another can cross my path to be,
And a fairy tale I can live.
My heart yearns hopeless,
But I have many years to come to find the one,
So I can live my happily ever after.
A beacon in the darkness,
Many stars have come and gone from the moon's side,
And yet, it still shines.
