Nighttime Wonders

I've always wondered about the night
How it builds up dreams and magnetic strife
How it brings comfort to the lonely and fear to ignite
How waves become tides and the seas all fight
How everything fades when the sun stops burning so bright
With the moon's everchanging and long lasting delight.
Or perhaps it's not of delight and more of starlight
Perhaps the moon is only pretending to be alright
Perhaps darkness both shadows and heals bedbug bites
Perhaps those stars aren't truly glowing so bright
Perhaps its talking because like us it's loneliness isn't its delight
I've always wondered about the night.
