Relief in the Sounds

The stars outside finally glisten with the anticipation I've been waiting for,
Everything beneath the surface seems far different than what I've assumed,
Under the trees but above the canopy, I sit and wait along skies for more,
More and more about the universe with questions on how it was darkness it consumed.

Driving in the dark, watching the mountains and trees walk by in a mannerly pattern,
I stare at the window, tracing every raindrop that glides with my finger dragging down,
A book in hand and an imagination of colors unshattered,
But alas, at the dewy grass beneath my feet and watery leaves above my head, I can cease to frown.

With my screen to stare into and a sky so filled with a lingering longing,
A soft melody, so hushed with the sounds of rivers and pattering rains,
I sing with the music beats, the Lo-Fi music and dreams prolonging,
A sweet deliverance of hope and reliever from the other days' pain.
