My sweater is warm
As we get cozy by the fire
You hold me sworn
Knowing my sensitivity is dire.
You hold my hand
Small and frail between yours
It might seem bland
But your love was an immediate cure.
I've been waiting for someone
To hold me close, close like this
To be trusted by someone
To keep me near, near with bliss.
Falling hard seemed scary at first
But when I'm with you, with you
Everything begins to burst.
I've been waiting for someone
To love me true, true like this
To be trusted by someone
To give me sweetness, a sweetened kiss.
Your hoodie I wear
As we dance in the kitchen
With music we blare
Indie or rock is always kickin'.
Our hands are tight
Hand in hand with the stars
Staring at midnight
The universe is ours.
A smile we share
Pointing out constellations
In eyes we stare
With a hope full of patience.
I've been waiting for someone
To hold me close, close like this
To be trusted by someone
To keep me near, near with bliss.
