"Jesus Christ," Eddie was muttering to himself, "Jesus H. Christ!"
"Calm the fuck down, Eds," Jenna looked back at him.
"Don't 'Ed's' me right now!" He snapped, "Those flying fuckers just took a pound of flesh off of Harrington here. Why should I calm down!?"
"I'm fine," Steve told him.
"We both know you're not, but whatever you say," Jenna shook her head, "Man, you are hard to carry."

"Do you guys think these bats have, like, rabies?" Robin asked.
"What?" Alice gave her a look.
"It's just that rabies are, like, my number one greatest fear," She elaborated, "And if they do, then Jenna and Steve need to get to a hospital soon before the symptoms set in because once they do, it's too late. You're already dead."
"Just follow me," Jenna sighed.

Jenna led everybody into the woods, if you could even call them that in the Upside Down, for shelter. She knew Vecna would find her eventually seeing as she'd just killed multiple members of his army. He didn't mind her sharing his space as long as she didn't mess with him, and she'd been fucking with him quite a bit lately.

"Ahhhh, here we go," Jenna led them straight to Skull Rock.
"Hey, we were just here in the normal world," Alice pointed out.
"That's nice," Jenna gave her a light smile, "Now, everyone, stay crouched under the rock. The bats shouldn't get us under here. Steve? Hey, let me help you."
Steve had started to collapse against the rock.

Jenna pulled her shirt, an old Hawkins High gym shirt she'd found lying in a house, over her head and started to rip it up.
"Whoa," Eddie shielded his eyes.
"Steve," Jenna's full attention was on him, "This may hurt a bit, but I'm going to tie this around your stomach, okay?"
"Yup," He squeaked out.
Jenna started to wrap the fabric around his stomach in an attempt to stop the bleeding.
"There you go," She finished tying it off then held his hand, "All better now."

"Jenna?" Nancy ended their little moment, "You look like you need some medical attention yourself. Come here."
Nancy took off her scarf and securely wrapped it just below Jenna's chest to stop her wound from bleeding.
"Thanks Nance," Jenna said, "It's really nice to have contact with people other than Vecna. If you can even call him a person."

"So," Eddie had climbed on top of a large rock, "this place is like Hawkins, but with monsters and nasty shit?"
"That's a nice way to put it," Jenna laughed, "And, hey, don't step on any of the vines. This place is one large hive mind."
"All of the creepy crawlies around here, dude," Steve started to explain in 'idiot' terms, "They're, like, one or something. You step on a vine, you're stepping on a bat, you're stepping on Vecna. How'd I do?"
"That was spot on, Stevie," Jenna let him lean against her again.

"So, Jenna," Alice was getting extremely impatient, "How the hell are you still alive?"
"We should probably sit down for this," She helped Steve lower himself to the ground as everyone else sat. "So, what I've been able to piece together is when I was trying to close the gate at Starcourt last year, before the machine exploded, I got sucked through the gate. I don't know how, but I woke up with bats trying to eat me and a half dead Walkman. Then Hen- eh you guys know him as Vecna so I'll stick with that, he approached me and tried to get me on his side. I obviously said no and now we have a weird rivalry going on, but don't bug each other much. If I mess with any of the hive mind, though, he attacks me. He put a tracker in my neck," Jenna lifted up her hair to show the tiny piece of vine stuck in her head behind her ear.

"He knows where I am unless I charge electricity through it to stop the signal."
"Can't you just remove it?" Robin asked.
"I've tried, but I'd need, like, Eleven to help me, like I helped her with her leg."
"So," Eddie bit his lip, "I have two questions."
"Shoot."
"Well, what have you been eating down here?"
"Roasted bats. They're pretty gross, but that's all I've had."
"Ewww! And I can't believe you never told me that you were a real-life wizard, Lady Jenna."
"I've kept it a secret from everyone for a while. Until about two years ago, no one knew except for me and the Hawkins Lab staff."
