I waited outside the house, for Alexandra. I hope she is happy to see me even though I know that is near impossible and I don't blame her. I missed her so much. It doesn't matter if she doesn't want to talk to me. Just seeing her beautiful face is enough. I do not even know if she is coming outside. I told her friend to let her know that someone is here to see her.

My mate squeezed my hand tightly in reassurrance but even she knew that would do nothing when I see Alexa. But I held on to it nonetheless seconds before I caught a whiff of her scent.

I faced the door I had been backing and inhaled a sharp breath at the sight before me. Alexandra stood in winter clothes with a frozen smile and a wavy ponytail blowing in the harsh wind.
"Alexandra, I—"
"What are you doing here?" Her voice that I used to love was so cold that it stung me.
"I just want to talk." Her face hardened, her fists clenching.
"Nothing to talk to about." She said in a tone that left no room for discussions. Her body turned AMD I knew she was about to leave when my mate called,
"Alexa." The girl I came all the way to see glanced at my mate. Her blue eyes narrowed into slits , glaring daggers at the girl beside me. My wolf growled within me at the disrespect but even he knew that Alexa had every right.
"I'm so sorry, Bestie. I didn't see you sooner." She said bestie with so much venom. Sarcasm dripping from her every word. Her lips turned up into a smirk, a very nasty one.
"How's life at the pack house?," she continued,
"Must be wonderful without the pathetic crybaby." A pang of hurt hit me hard. That's what the former Luna had called her. I'm not surprised she remembered.
"That's not true, Xandra." Julia was quick to clarify. My sister rolled her eyes. Crossing her arms, she retorted,
"Then why didn't you speak up that day?" Julia's mouth snapped shut and Alexa turned to me.
"Oh twin brother. Since your mate has turned mute, why don't you tell me what happened that night?" Something in me refused to lie to her. I wanted her to know the reason her family turned their back on her. The reason she was rejected. She deserves to know at least that even if I don't tell her the whole story.
"We were under the Alpha's command." She froze, her smirk vanished and disbelief coated her features.

Alexandra's POV
I had never thought of the possibility that they were under the Alpha's command. Now it all made sense. Why they looked at me with guilt in their eyes but were unable to utter a word. So all this time, my family had been innocent.
"Why?"
"The Alpha and Luna didn't like our family. I don't know why but they never have. They wanted Ashley to be Brian's mate, the Luna, because she was also of Alpha blood. Which meant an alliance between the two packs." I nodded. The Alpha never his hate for our family unlike like the Luna. A chameleon. She changed her colors faster than anyone I had ever known or heard of at the slightest opportunity.

A dry laugh rang out from my lips. I threw my head back, still laughing.
"I'm sure she us happy now. Why are you here?" My voice went back to bring cold and angry.
"I'm sorry Alexa. I just want UST to talk." I scoffed.
"Talk? Where was all that talk when I left? It has been 3 MONTHS, Alex. 3 FUCKING MONTHS!! And you just want to talk?" Alex didn't say anything but cast his head down instead. I felt the guilt coming off him in waves. Julia moved closer to me carefully as if I was a scared little puppy. I rolled my eyes and snapped at her,
"What do you want, Julia?" She flinched as if I had slapped her in the face. It kinda hurt to see that especially when Alex ran to her side and tried to comfort her. Yeah, show your love in front of someone who has hardly recovered from two major rejections. Wonderful brother and ex best friend I have.

"You caused the second one." Kylie chipped in.
"Do you want to live your life with someone who doesn't trust you?" I retorted. She went silent after that. Ha, I thought so. But on a more serious note, I couldn't help but feel that what happened between Ryder and I has caused a rift between my wolf and I. She hardly talks to me. If she dies, it's mostly to remark about Ryder. I know she misses him. I thought I did the right thing.
"Kylie, I am sorry."
"It's not your fault. You wanted to protect me. I get it and I'm sorry for being a brat about it."
"Thanks. Do you want me to forgive them?"
"Let's make them earn it." Now that's the Kylie I know.
