☰72- AVENGERS REUNION... KINDA

[UPSTATE, NEW YORK]

I called Steve and informed him of what I could, mainly telling him that we have to protect Vision and the Mind Stone. I talked to Pepper and told her that Tony would come back as safely as possible. She knew we both didn't know that was true. Before I left again, she hugged me tightly, telling me to be careful.

Banner and I sat at the Avengers Compound. Until I got a signal that everyone was in London. I stayed in the Compound checking the Spaceship's interior and exterior, noting down everything I could. I had changed back into regular clothes, taking my suit into one of the rooms and setting up the hologram so I could walk through the actual spaceship.

Dad was also trying to find where the alien took Strange. But other than that I found nothing, it was just aimless searching.

"Hey kid." I look back to see Rhodey.

"Uncle Rhodey!" I smile and teleport to him, hugging him. "You came."

"Course I did." He then looks serious. "Anything?"

"Nothing good." I reply and we walk down the hall. "Ross is gonna call soon, but some small updates? Dad and Dr. Strange are.. as fine as they could be but still just out somewhere in space."
He nods and I pull up a holographic map. "I'm tracking their ship now but we have nothing on Earth that can take us there so I'll go back when they need me."

He nods. "Space..."

"I've been out and about." I smile and close the map. "Ross is calling. I'm gonna go hide. I really hate that guy."

The ringing started and I left the room, opening a portal and smiling at Rhodey who looked at the hole that I then covered up with an illusion that I could see past. He nods and answers the holographic call.

"Still no word from Vision?" Ross asks, he was with others.

"Satellites lost him somewhere over Edinburgh."

"On a stolen Quinn jet with four of the world's most wanted criminals."

"You know they're only criminals because you've chosen to call them that, right, sir?"

"My god, Rhodes. Your talent for horseshit rivals my own."

"If it weren't for those accords, Vision would've been right here."

Ross walked over. "I remember your signature on those papers, Colonel."

"That's right. And I'm pretty sure I paid for that."

"Do you have second thoughts?"

"Not anymore."

He looked over as the others walked in. "Mr. Secretary." Steve says.

"You've got some nerve." Ross walks over to them. "I'll give you that."

"You could use some of that right now." Natasha tells him.

"The world is on fire. And you think all is forgiven?"

"I'm not looking for forgiveness. And I'm way past asking permission. Earth just lost her best defender so we're here to fight and if you wanna stand in our way, will fight you too."

Ross turned to Rhodes. "Arrest them."

"All over it." He hung up the call and I teleported over.

"Took you geezers long enough." I say and smile when Nat does. I ran over and hugged her, her arms wrapped tightly around me and I sank into the hug.
   Once I was ready, I pulled away and got a good look at her, specifically her new hairstyle. "I can call you blondie now."
