𝐈𝐕𝐘 𝐕𝐎𝐈𝐃 || 𝐀𝐦𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐚 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐤

☰20- MISSION ONE; THE SCEPTER

(September 2015)
[SOKOVIA, EASTERN EUROPE]

   We were in Sokovia now, the mission we were working on; Get the scepter from HYDRA.
   I had landed before them but not long after they had landed and the fight began. I could hear everything through comms, explosions, gun fires, punches, faint groans, and machinery.
   This was my first mission but I couldn't be anywhere near the actual fight. Tony made sure that I was only there to protect the people of the closest town, in all honesty I didn't mind it but I'd much rather be fighting along with the rest of the team because that's what we were supposed to be.

   I had left an illusion of myself back at home, walking to a deli, wearing sunglasses and a hat as a disguise, this way people wouldn't suspect me when the new super hero made her debut. I was aware that I could have easily said that I had been home the whole time but this way they wouldn't even think of asking about anything.

   "Shit!" Tony cursed.

   "Language!" Steve warned. "Jarvis, what's the view from upstairs?"

   I had chuckled to myself. Aww.

   'The central building is protected by some kind of energy shield.' Jarvis replied. 'Strucker's technology is well beyond any other HYDRA base we've taken.'

  "Loki's scepter must be here." Thor said. "Strucker couldn't mount this defence without it. At long last."

   I could hear the fighting and heard Nat speak. "At long last, is lasting a little long, boys."

   "Yeah, I guess we lost the element of surprise." Clint told Nat.

   "Wait a second." Tony spoke. "No one else is gonna deal with the fact that Cap just said, 'Language'?"

   "I know..." Cap said. "I was doing it for Mel."

   I scoff. "Don't worry, I know all the curse words in ten different languages." I chuckled. "Thanks anyways, Cap, real noble of you, I genuinely appreciate it."

   "I don't know if you're actually being sarcastic or not." Steve replies.

"It doesn't matter, focus back on the mission." Clint says.

   It was quiet for a few minutes which was nice until I saw the first missile fired at the city. I covered it in a force field as it blew up, a few people screamed because of how close it had gotten.

"You're up, Kid." Tony says.

   "All right Ivaa, measure the distance." I spoke.

   'Already measured, Miss.' She told me and the holographic map was placed in my visor. Along with a temperature scan of the entire city.

   I put a force field over the top of the city and sent out illusions of myself throughout the city.

   "Please don't panic" I say and Ivaa quickly translates it. "I'm here to protect the city and people, nothing will happen."

   They all look at my illusions while I go on top of the force field and use blasts against the missiles.

   "Please continue along with your day." I tell them.

   I open portals and send multiple missiles away. I also use vines and plants to stop people from getting hurt or in the way. They tell the Avengers to go home but don't really seem bothered much because their homes are safe and they are safe.
   It wasn't long before they were going on with their day like nothing was going on around them, which was exactly what I wanted.
