Chapter 48 Freedom

Tavion, Rosh and Alarik didn't left me inside the ruin and watched for my body for almost a week. Halos hindi na nga umalis sa kanyang pagkakaupo si Tavion sa halos isang linggong iyon.

Minsan ay umaalis si Alarik ngunit bumabalik din naman upang magbigay ng balita sa mga nangyayari sa Fevia Attero, habang si Rosh ay bigla na lang mawawala ngunit bumabalik din naman agad. Alarik has been giving them foods and liquor, but when he offered the two vampire princes bottles of blood, the two princes awfully declined.

"Are you sure?"

Nakangiwi na si Rosh habang nakatingin sa boteng inaalok ni Alarik sa kanya. "I only drink premium blood."

"Huh? What is premium blood?"

Umiling na lang si Rosh at nag-iwas ng tingin sa boteng hawak ni Alarik na tila biglang nagpasakit sa kanyang tiyan.

"How about you, Tavion?"

Tumitig lang si Tavion sa bote bago nag-iwas ng tingin kay Alarik at muling tumulala sa kawalan.

Bumuntonghininga si Alarik at muling naupo sa tabi ni Rosh. "You know, wizard, you can leave us here. You can do your job in this world. Tavion and I can—" but Alarik cut him off.

"I told you, I am already a retired dragon wizard. I can stay here whenever I want. And now that the powerful Head Wizard is back, everything will fall into place. After all, he's the real ruler of this world. I just made a cover for him when he was still deeply—" ngunit hindi na niya itinuloy ang sasabihin niya nang mapasulyap siya kay Tavion.

Tumingala na si Rosh at muling tinanaw ang katawan kong lumulutang.

"That's because we had the help of the power of the goddess. We don't have that right now, Rosh," tumingala na rin sa akin si Alarik. "And I don't think we'll have to ask Iris as well, we can't consume too much of her presence."

"Don't touch her," sabat ni Tavion.

Dumiin ang titig niya kina Rosh at Alarik. Rosh awkwardly raised one of his hands in defeat. "Alright. Alright, calm down."

Ang tanging nagawa ko lang habang binabantayan nina Tavion, Rosh, at Alarik ang katawan ko ay panuorin sila at makinig sa kanilang usapan. Kung nagagawa kong makipag-usap sa kanila nang magpakita ang mga Gazellian, ngayon ay mas tinipid ko ang aking lakas at hinayaan na lang ang sariling lumutang at makiramdam.

The days were filled with conversation being led by Rosh. Minsan ay sumasali rin naman si Tavion pero hindi na siya katulad nang dati na magaling magdala ng usapan.

"I've been into that cave as well, inside this ruin, so if we're going to destroy these bone-eating portals at the same time, I won't be able to see that fountain of youth. I think it is quite similar to our Sea of Eronia."

"You declined, remember?" sagot ni Alarik.

Tumawa si Rosh. "Because I can't be inside the two portals with one body. And I guess, my brother will handle it well. He shouldn't tarnish our name."

Habang nag-uusap sina Rosh at Alarik, sa sulok ng kanilang mga mata ay sinisilip nila si Tavion kung ano ang nagiging reaksyon nito. They're trying to get him involved again.

"Do you imagine that this world will have a long alliance with Nemetio Spiran? It was you who told us that you sent your soldier to help our world because you were afraid that if Nemetio Spiran fall into the hands of those evil goddesses, this world will be next."
