two days since  I told Weiss the truth

And students that will conclude todays lesson please remember to do the assigned readings and be the best you can be
I wait for everyone to leave and sigh and plop down in my desk
Weiss hasn't talked to me since I told her about me being her father and it's really taking a toll on me, I just want her to say something to me anything even if she says she hates me; I'm just tired of being ignored I just want her to tell me something

Ruby enters the classroom
Ruby: hey uncle y/n
Hey ruby
Ruby: has Weiss talked to you yet?

No, I think she is avoiding me, I can understand though I mean I wasn't really there I just popped in and then left and here I am again and I drop a bomb on her like that; it isn't fair to her

Ruby: that might be true but she should at least say something to you

Ruby it's fine I want her to feel comfortable I don't want to force anything on her and something as big as finding out who you thought was your father isn't you father

Ruby: nonsense come on uncle y/n
Ruby drags me to her dorm she goes inside and I hear talking

Muffled ruby: Weiss someone would like to talk to you
Weiss: who? Is it y/n?
Ruby: yes
Weiss: I don't want to talk to him
Ruby: why not?
Weiss: because he just popped into my life and wants me to forgive him for not being there
Ruby: but he helped train you
Weiss: that might be true but, fathers should be there for their child always not just be there for a couple of months and leave again i mean I didn't even know him until I was around 10 years old
Ruby: but
Weiss: but nothing I don't want to see or talk to him right now and I expect you as my teammate to respect that
Ruby: ok just please consider it he only wants to make it up to you

I hear the conversation between the two so I slowly back away from the dorm and walk to the bulkhead dock to go to vale to clear my head
I end up at a bar and drinking my sorrows away I end up spending most of the night at the bar I check my watch and see it's 12:24 am and decide to head back to beacon hopefully there is a bulkhead waiting for me or I'm in for a bad night luckily there was one left waiting to take off my lucky day I ride the bulkhead back to beacon and see Ozpin waiting for me at the dock

So that's why there was a bulkhead waiting for me then
Ozpin: someone has to watch out for you y/n

Ozpin: is there anything you want to discuss

No why do you ask?
Ozpin: well the look on your face shows you are in pain y/n you can talk to me about your troubles

Well ok could we please go somewhere more private?
Ozpin: sure let's go to my office
We go to Ozpins tower

Ozpin I just can't take it she doesn't want anything to do with me
Ozpin: who?

Ozpin: that is most troubling, maybe you should give her time to think?

No you don't get it I overheard her say that she hates me she doesn't want to be around me Ozpin I can't help but feel like this is my fault I shouldn't have left her I should have taken her with me

Ozpin: and do what? Have he be with you on dangerous missions that almost got you killed no less a defenseless child, what other could you have done and left her with her mother

I could have done something maybe have tai look after her when I was gone maybe I should have told her who her real father was

Ozpin: that would have only caused harm to her and her family, I hear about jaqués from ironwood quite frequently and Weiss would have been either thrown out or have been impressed into the mines of the SDC, the best thing to do was to leave her there and not tell her the truth until she was old enough; maybe she doesn't like you now but people change she will come around trust me even if it takes months she will y/n you just need to be patient and understanding

I only have a week left here Ozpin, port is returning from his vacation next week

Ozpin: maybe... or I could change that since I am the headmaster here

You would do that for me?

Ozpin: of course and well the students are actually learning something in that class now I will relay his paid vacation will be extended till the vytal festival

Don't you think he would think he has been fired or replaced

Ozpin: y/n he has been waiting to retire for a while he just wanted to wait for a good replacement, and he saw that in you, this is the first time he has ever taken a vacation I don't think this is a coincidence at all

Well thank you Ozpin, you are a great friend I'm going back to my dorm to sleep and hopefully be rested enough to teach tomorrow
I walk to my dorm and plop down on my bed falling asleep almost instantly
I wake up the next day with a headache but nothing I can't handle I make some breakfast and make my way to my classroom with the same get up as yesterday; yes I was given multiple suits of the same style, I reach my class and wait for the students to come in after awhile most are inside and ready to learn I wait for everyone to arrive and get settled until I give them the news
Good morning everyone depending on how you feel about me this could be good or bad news; professor ports vacation has been extended until the vytal festival so that means I will be your professor until headmaster Ozpin decides that port has had enough relax time or I am to be the new permanent professor

Everyone starts murmuring to each other some are happy and talking about how they will actually learn in here and some are a little upset they can't sleep in the class from now on and some and just meh not caring either or way, now Weiss is totally different she is upset that she will have to be around me more than anticipated, but I hope she will get over that and forgive me soon

We go over more material for the class

Now students that is why you should use numbers and mixing up close range and long range to confuse and ultimately defeat a nuckleave and I think that will wrap up class for today. Remember to be the best you can be class dismissed

Everyone leaves except team rwby

Ruby: come on Weiss please just talk to y/n
Weiss: why should I?
Yang: he is your father Weiss at least try to get to know him, I promise you will be pleasantly surprised
Weiss: he missed that chance when he decided to leave

Blake: Weiss he won't be around forever, at least he is here now try to get to know him
Weiss: ugggh ok fine! But if I decide no more you can't force me to interact with him again
RBY: agreed
Yang: we will leave so you can have some privacy

Weiss approaches me slowly
Weiss: hey y/n my team convinced me to come talk to you, I did it because I care about them unlike you

Weiss I'm sorry for not being there for you, but me and your mother agreed that it would be best if I wasn't around

Weiss: I don't care about what you agreed on, how could you leave us? Leave me with him! Weiss started to cry

Weiss I'm so sorry I wish I would have known I would have came and t- oofff

Weiss ran into me and gave me a tight hug

Shhh shh Weiss it's ok I'm here now, I won't leave I'll be here until the end
Weiss: you promise?
I promise, I love you Weiss since I saw you in that carriage

Weiss: thank you, y/n I don't feel comfortable enough calling you dad yet but I would like to get there one day

And I would too Weiss, how about we leave beacon and go get some cookies or something

Weiss: could we get ice cream

Of course weiss anything you want
