Chapter eight

I awaken the next day to see the sun shining through the window and decide to do something today; seeing Yang yesterday reminded me that Weiss should be talking now as well I might go see her in bird form of course, it should be fine anyway since I told summer and tai I would be relaxing today

I finally made it to atlas mainly in my bird form I'm super tired so I take a rest by Turing back into human out of sight and rest on a bench
Once I regain my energy I return to my bird form and fly towards the Schnee manor
I look over the manor and see Willow with her two daughters Weiss and winter she is holding Weiss while winter is sitting next to them;
I perch above them, I guess Weiss is very observant because she pointed at me and said
Weiss: birdie mommie look look
Willow: I see it honey, winter do you know what type of bird that is?
Winter: it's an owl momma
Willow: good, that's my smart little girl, winter why don't you try to lure it down here I think Weiss wants a closer look
Winter: of course momma I'll try to find some bait for it

I roll my eyes in that they think I'm a normal easiest fooled bird, but then again they have no idea that it's me I could just go down there to see my daughter up close; I think that is worth it

As winter return with some bait I swoop down and grasp it with my talons and fly away

Winter: dang it mom it has flown away
Willow: it's ok honey

About a minute or two later I fly back and land near them

Winter: hey mom look it's the same bird from earlier
Willow: it seems so why don't you go get a closer look? Just be careful it's most likely wild I don't what you getting hurt so be careful.
Winter: of course mom
Winter Slowly approaches me when she gets really close as she does that she puts her hand out
Which is kinda stupid to do to a wild bird, but she is just a child so it's expected
I decide to land in her hand she exclaims and surprise and happiness
Winter: MOM mom look it landed in my hand
Willow: that's amazing dear why don't you come show Weiss I think she would love to get a closer look at it
Winter: ok mom
She slowly carried me towards Willow and Weiss as we get closer I stare deeper and deeper into Weiss' eyes just because I can't believe that this little girl is my child it's just so crazy to think
Willow: hmm Weiss and winter i think this bird likes you two
Winter: can we keep him mom can we can we? Please PLEASE!
Willow: I don't know I don't think your father would be happy

Just as she is thinking it over I screech quietly and take off into the sky
Willow: sorry honey, but I think the birdie wanted to be free
Winter: aweee mom I really wanted to keep it
Willow: I know I know you did it's just a big responsibility that I don't honk you are ready for yet

I arrive back at patch to go to bed since it's night time now and to get rest for tomorrow since I promised summer I would spend it with her and Yang

Timeskip to when ruby was born
Ruby was finally born and I could already see some of summers facial features on ruby, geez this kid might grow up to be a carbon copy of summer; I guess tai's genes aren't that strong considering that Yang almost looks like a carbon copy of raven as well beside her blonde hair. That just reminded me of something I have yet to find raven and get answers for her betrayal, after I make sure summer tai yang and ruby are fine I'm hunting her camp until I get answers no breaks I need these answers
Timeskip 3 months
I finally feel that summer and tai are well adjusted to be the parents of two hopefully they are up to the challenge since I won't be here to watch the kids when they need sleep

I say my goodbyes to summer,tai,Yang,and ruby i start with my search for raven I will find her at any cost
Timeskip 4 years, I have been searching for forever now; I didn't stay to my self promise of no resting I took time off watched over Weiss and helped with yang and ruby to make sure summer and tai did really have it I go to walk off from patch until qrow lands next to me
Qrow: y/n are you still looking for raven?
Of course I am I want answers for why she cut my hand off that isn't what family would do
Qrow: of course I did find the tribe here are the coordinates he looks down at his scroll and types some things in as he finishes I get a message from him with some coordinates

What are you going to do for now qrow?
Qrow: I think I'm going to visit the two lovebirds and their kids
Have fun, I think yang and ruby love me more
Qrow: hah I'll prove you wrong

I arrive to the coordinates to see a tiny tribe I turn back into a human and go towards the front gates as I bust them down a scream ravens name

as I walk towards the center of the village I am meet with may bandits and their leader at the middle who I can only assume is raven

There you are raven long time no see I think you owe me an apology and some answers I say this as I point to my metal hand

Raven: y/n I'm sure you have had time to think and so have I please come with me into my tent we can discuss this in private
Raven if you think you can fool me you will be sorely mistaken just know I can and will waste you if it comes down to it

We go inside her tent and discuss why she did what she did

Raven: I didn't mean to cut your hand off that truly was a mistake and I am sorry, but the other thing aren't as easily answered as you assume

Raven: well I had to the tribe called for either me or qrow to come back and lead them and qrow refused so it was my duty

Raven: this tribe has a farther reach than you know they sent people to our home to intimidate me they burned houses down near us I had to do it for the safety of Yang and tai, I hope you understand

I think I do now; I guess you are fine with being here and I got my answers so I will be on my way
*Raven quickly gets up and gives me a hug*
Which surprises me greatly I slowly hug back
Raven: I missed you so much
Uhhh I uh you too raven

I'm going to go now raven, other people need me
