I get to patch to see my sister
I meet her at her house
*knock knock*
Summer answers her door and gives me a hug
Summer: y/n I haven't seen you in forever I missed you so much
I missed you too sis
Summer: what made you decide to give me a visit?
Well on one of my last missions I got to thinking about you and our team our family I just wanted to see everyone again
Summer: awwwwe that's so sweet
Also I have some information you might want to hear, may I come in?
Summer: of course
*we enter and sit down*
On my latest mission it was supposed to be a simple extermination mission until a man by the name of Tyrian appeared and tried to kill me for being a silver eyed warrior
Summer: that's very alarming does that mean what I think it means?

Yes it does SHE is hunting people with silver eyes we need to be careful and not to draw attention to ourselves, remember what happened to mom and dad?

Summer tears up
Summer: no need to remind me i still miss them every day all the time

Me too summer me too; I don't want to bring back bad memories I just want you to be careful and to not get yourself killed

I know I just want my sister to be safe and sound I don't know what I would do if I lost you.

*summer gives me a deep hug*

I don't know days weeks maybe even months, just tell me when raven has her kid I want to be here to support them

Time skip to raven giving birth
I return to patch to see Yang ravens and tais child since I am her godfather

I'm going to stay for a while to help you two get settled and deal with little Yang here

*I walk outside to talk to qrow*
Qrow have you found anything else about the man who tried to kill me?
Qrow: yes he apparently works for HER
So it's true me and summer are getting hunted like animals
Qrow: it appears so, my advice is to lay low and not to bring attention to yourself
I appreciate the advice but I'm tired of hiding I'm tired of being afraid to be me because someone wants me dead
Qrow: y/n you can't fight her she can't be dealt with
I know I'm just so tired of being afraid of who I am you know?
Qrow: I'm sorry that it comes to hiding and waiting for your death
I'm not going to do that qrow I'm not a coward

Qrow I'm going to stay on patch for now to help raven and tai with Yang I think you should stay as well
Qrow: I would like to but Ozpin needs for more recon against HER
Ok ok just stay safe I don't won't to hear that you died on me

Qrow: wouldn't dream of it
*he turns into a crow and flies away*

Timeskip 4 months
For the past four months I was staying on patch helping raven and tai getting adjusted and to get to know my godchild I lived with summer for a month until I decided to make my own house and now I'm currently living in, but I'm thinking I'm going to say my goodbyes and go back to the nomad lifestyle for a while I miss being out there fighting the grim according to Ozpin I was born for it anyway

*going to tai's and raven's home*
Hey guys I think I'm going back to being a huntsmen
Raven: you know what y/n I was thinking the same thing myself, how about we do a mission together?
Sure raven sounds fun I'm just going to say bye to summer and we can get going
Raven: alright don't keep me waiting for too long

*I said my goodbyes to summer, me and raven went on our mission we decided on a simple escort and protection mission*
We were walking with the caravan when we were attacked by a wave of bandits I start attacking the tribe and making quick work of them until I'm hit by raven
Raven what are you doing?!?
Raven: y/n these are my people I can't do this

I thought you left that life
Raven: I thought I did too, but I can't just hurt them like this

Well then stay back I need to protect the caravan
Raven: I can't let you do this

What do you mean don't tell me you are betraying me

Raven: I guess I am

Me and raven start circling each other waiting for the other to attack she makes the first move and tries to slash me I barely block I try to counter but she moves too fast and strikes me on my back I manage to get a good hit in when she was relling back from actually hurting me
We keep fighting for a while until my aura is low I try to talk sense into her
Raven please see reason come back with me I can forget all this what about your daughter?
Raven: I'm sorry y/n I just can't
Raven please *I slowly raise my open hand towards her to try to get her to come back*
Raven: y/n I'm sorry I can't my tribe needs me
*she slashed her katana to show that she isn't friendly or family anymore, she must have miscalculated or was truly hostile or was never family because she cut my left hand cleanly off right up past the wrist
Raven drops her katana in fright and shock while I hold my stump trying to stop the bleeding
Raven: y/n I'm so sorry I never meant- I didn't mean-
Why raven why would you do this?!?
Raven grimaces and picks up here katana, she then opens her scroll and and calls the bulkhead
Raven: y/n I'm sorry but I must return to my tribe tell yang and tai I'm sorry
Sure you are
She remains silent and continues walking with her tribe back into the woods

*timeskip 3 days inside the hospital*
Me, tai, summer, and qrow are talking about the incident
Tai: you mean she cut of your hand and ran back to the bandits? I can't believe that what really happened you liar she would never do that
Qrow: tai she did do it, no ordinary person or huntsmen could hurt y/n this badly I guess she just wanted a way back into her old life
Summer: so she just left her husband and child for a group of thieves and murderers?
I guess so
Summer: y/n this isn't your fault you'll bounce back I know you will
No summer I can't I can't wield my weapon without my hand I can't do anything without my hand
Summer: I'm sure we will find a way
SUMMER THERE IS NO WAY
I immediately regret yelling at summer
Summer: oh ok then
She swiftly leaves the room
Tai: that was a dick move y/n she was just trying to help

I know tai I'm just upset my career as a huntsmen was just ended by someone I thought was a friend
Tai: I know y/n I know, I'll be here for you as best as I can since I'm a single dad now

Timeskip two months
I was trying my best to cope without my other hand but it has been very hard; I hate to say it but for a very tiny time window I contemplated suicide until summer and tai pulled me out of the hole and helped me recover apparently they are a couple as well now, I think that's good summer deserves someone who loves her like tai will, I was about to go to bed until I got mail from atlas
Huh that's weird I didn't order anything wonder what it is?
I open the box and look inside it has a note on top
"Hey y/n we are very sorry to hear that one of your hands was removed, but we here at atlas help our friends and you certainly are one with you helping develop the fight patterns for our altesian knights; the contents inside the box should be very helpful for you considering your current situation" - the atlas science team and head

I look inside the box and find a new metal hand to replace my old one I immediately put it on
It works I'm filled by such joy I can be a huntsmen again I can go on missions and can help protect the weak again
I made a mental note to give my thanks to the science team next time I'm in atlas i think that's actually the first thing I'm going to do give my thanks
I'm going to show summer and tai my new hand
(The hand is a black matching the cloak)
*walk over to tai's and summer's house to show my new hand
