The Second Time Around

Three days left till my little girl turn four. Oh how time really flies that fast. From that unexpected pregnancy, she became our best ever source of happiness.

Naalala ko pa nun when I first knew na I'm pregnant, so many things running on my mind... positive, and yeah mostly negative. Till pumasok sa isip ko yung pagpa abort. God please patawarin niyo po ako, pumasok talaga sa isip ko yan that time. I was thinking na baka Kiefer won't accept this, my parents, family will not accept it... Pasalamat na lang talaga ako thru angel's whispers, so many good whispers. And I kept it.

And here she is now, growing up so fast. My little girl no more.

'Mama...'

Here she comes, my not so little happy pill, waking me up from day dreaming.

'Oh baby? No running lage.' I said and pick her up, uhg, heavy na my baby...

'Mama, is it true that we're gonna celebrate my birthday with the butandings?' She said happily, eyes shimmering.

'How did you know that? It's supposed to be a surprise for you ah.' Tsk tsk... Dapat surprise yun eh.

'I just talked to Papa, he called Tito Miko man.' And she giggles. Oh Miko and Mikole are here na din kasi for summer vacation. They'll gonna spend summer with us.

The rest of the crew, they'll fly to Cebu tomorrow.

And her Papa... ouie speaking of her Papa, mapepektusan ko talaga yun later. Sabi ko naman surprise yun kay Mimi, sinabihan na talaga niya. Kainis talaga Rabina!

'Ate, nagtext pala si Mama, ok na ba daw yung sa balloons? Sabi nagkaproblema daw dun.' Pumasok si Miko sa room ko, dala dala yung bola ng basketball ni Mimi.

'Ah oo Kuya, will call Mama later. Oh mag wash up na kayo, and movie marathon daw kayo... Behave kayo dito ah, sunduin ko lang si Kuys niyo.' I said and lumabas sa room, nakasunod lang naman sa akin yung dalawang bata. Mikole's with Yaya Plo, inutusan ko kasi bumili ng food for them para sa movie nila later. Busugin ang mga bata, baka matagalan kasi kami ni Manong later, you know na. Eeeeh!

'Awww sige Ate... You know, enjoy enjoy kayo ni Kuys, ako bahala dito!' Miko said with so much confidence but with a hint of kalokohan.

'Haynaku ikaw Kuya ha. Basta alagaan mo dito.'

I look at Mimi who's watching a Disney show naman. Buti di nangungulit na sumama. Pasalamat na nga rin ako na andito mga kapatid ko, si Mimi hindi nagiging clingy sa akin. Thank God!

'Oh, after you wash up, iready niyo na yung mga foam dyan ha...' Sa sala lang sila matutulog since they'll have a movie marathon nga. Pero for sure di pa naman tapos ang isang movie, eh tulog na ang mga to.

'Mimi, come here, you go wash up na with Kuya Miko... Mama will go fetch Papa muna baby ah?' I said as I close the fridge.

'Yes Mama!' She just said and tumakbo na papuntang room, ahy ganun? Walang bye man lang anak?

Katampo! Chos!

I look at the time, quarter to nine... One hour more.

Ding. Sila Yaya Plo and Mikole na yata yun.

'Ye, naa pa ka?' Yaya Plo shouted from the door with giggles, pinagchichismisan nanaman siguro ako ng dalawang to. I'm still here Yaya!

'Oh Ya, dia pa. Ano naman yang binili niyo? Dami ah...' I then opened the box of pizza.
