Kiefer insisted that he would be the one driving but I know he’s not that familiar with the place we’re going to. Eh pag ako na ang nagsalita, alam niyo namann, under pa din. Hahaha

So I am the one driving to Salinas Drive. Medyo traffic nga kasi people are everywhere, party mode on Cebu!

‘Ma, iba yata to na way ah?’ He asked as he’s not familiar with the place pa nga. Pero naalala pa niya yung iba tho.

‘Nah, iba tong pupuntahan natin. We discovered this ginabot place near the I.T. Park with my co teachers and masarap dun. Mas masarap kesa dun sa Colon.’ I said as we stopped for a red light.

Naalala pala niya. The last time we ate ginabot was in Colon kasi. And this new place I discovered was more uhmmm malinis? Ahihihi

‘People are everywhere.’ He said as he keeps on looking from side to side of the road.

‘Party people beh. Baka Makita mo dyan the Lings.’ We laugh then. Baka nga kasi naghasik sa tabi tabi the Lings.

We passed by I.T. Park, andaming tao. Music blasting, wasted people everywhere, drinks unlimited.

This is Sinulog.

‘Ah babe, before I forgot, Dani’s flight is at 5AM, so maybe mga 6AM andito na yun. You want us to pick her up from the airport dalawa?’ I asked him as I took a U-turn. Nasa kabilang side kasi yung ginabot place.

Its near midnight pero buti wala pa masydong tao. People will flood this place after partying kasi, eh the parties just started pa lang, so yeah, wala masyado. There’s a few people lang.

‘Ah yeah, ako na lang Ma, baka gusto mo matulog na lang later. Ako na lang susundo kay Dani.’ He smiled at me and went out the car.

‘Ouie idol, nakabalik ka ah.’ That was Manong Lito, the owner of the pungko-pungko place. Naging ka close ko na rin kasi sila. Suki eh.

‘Oo lage Manong, gigutom na sad.’ And tumawa naman sila. Di pa yata napansin na may superstar akong kasama.

‘Oh dali na, lingkod na.’ That’s Manang Cita, asawa ni Manong Lito. Matagal na pala sila nagtitinda ng ginabot dito.

Umupo na nga kami ni Kiefer.

‘You comfortable?’ I asked Kiefer. Eh paano ba naman, ang lalaking tao. Anliit lang kaya ng mga tables and chair. Pungko-pungko nga diba?

‘Ah yeah, I’m good.’ He said and smile at Manang who’s busy chopping some onions.

Manong Lito then handed us our plate and gives us those plastic gloves.

Time to dig in!

‘Oh pila ka puso dae?’ Oooh puso! Those are rice wrapped in coconut leaves. Masarap, pinagmamalaki ko talaga sa Cebu.

‘Uhmmm hiwae na lang mig ten sa Nang.’ I said as Kiefer shakes his head. What? I’m so gutom kaya.

‘Oh dia na. Sauce ninyo dae?’ Manong asked. He’s busy frying some ginabot sa side. Ayun, sarap.

Kiefer’s been silent, siguro nga kasi gutom na din. Hahaha

I’m just talking to Manong and Manang, nagbibisaya kasi, while him, he’s busy unwrapping those puso for me. Sweet naman ni Papa.

‘Ouie dae, papicture mi unya kay idol ha. Kagwapo.’ Manang said, nagsmile naman si Kiefer and gave a thumbs up, na gets niya siguro.

‘Oo naman Manang. Pwede na nato himuon gani endorser sa inyong ginabot.’ I said and laughs with them. Si Kiefer nga din nakikitawa na.
