TW!
My eyes beg to open as I return to consciousness, hearing the constant beep of the IV machine next to me. I try to sit up slightly, pushed back by the pain racking my body. I open my eyes fully, staring around my hospital room, looking out the window next to me to see a dark sky and stars.
I sit up again, successfully this time, to hear footsteps walk through the hallway across from my room. A doctor walks past my room, peeking into my room to see me sitting up on my bed.
"Oh, you're awake. I'll go grab someone to check your vitals," They say, walking back away from my room.
A few minutes later, who I assume to be a nurse walks into the room.
"Oh, you woke up a lot earlier than expected. But I've heard that that's pretty common for you," They say walking into my room and looking over the computer in the corner of the room.
"Mhm, all your vitals and stuff are good, your injuries healed pretty well too , but we did have someone with an advanced healing quirk come in so. You still have some stitches and stuff,  also a conclusion and possibly some minor brain damage, but we're not really sure what section that would be in. But we can send you home with some medication, and as long as you get a lot of rest you should be good in about two weeks," they say, handing me the usual white paper bag with my prescription. Gently pulling out my IV and placing a bandaid over the area.
"Oh, one of your classmates dropped off your stuff from the training trip. So there should be some clothes you can wear in there," The nurse says, handing me my duffle bag from the training trip. A small orange sticky note on the top of the fabric. Handwriting I recognize covering its surface.
They help me stand up as I walk towards the bathroom in my hospital hall. I walk in gingerly, closing and locking the door behind me as I strip off my hospital gown. Looking down at my body to see the injuries and bandages covering almost every surface of it.
I pull on a pair of sweatpants and a sweatshirt, socks and my regular pair of tennis shoes. I pick up the orange sticky note off the floor, skimming over it brings a smile to my face. I pack up the rest of my duffle bag and pull it over my shoulder as I unlock the door and walk out of the bathroom.
I head towards the front desk, signing the few pieces of paper work they had for me, before heading out of the building. I walk for a few blocks until I reach the nearest subway station. I slump against the benches in the station, waiting for my next train. I stare up through the top of the station bench covers, hearing the stain pull up as I stand from my seat.
I walk onto the train, putting my headphones in as I stare out of the window across from me. Thinking over the actions I have planned for when I return home. Grabbing the few important items I have, avoiding my mother as much as physically possible, before leaving and hoping Bakugou's family is still awake, considering it's almost 11pm.
I step off the train as it reaches the station closest to my house. Walking for a few minutes before I reach an all too familiar door. And one that I dread seeing.
I walk up to the door, pulling my house key out of my pocket, unlocking the door as quietly as possible as I walk into the building. I look around to see a very different home. Many of the walls are covered in hand shaped burn marks, the kitchen counter littered with alcohol cans and bottles. I can hear the TV blaring the news from the living room as I carefully look around the house for any presence of my mother.
"They said you wouldn't be coming home this time, Shigaraki said you would be gone by the end of this," My mother says, peeking around the corner from the hallway her bedroom is attached to.
"Yeah, they sure as hell tried," I say, placing my phone down on the counter, watching her as she walks towards me. I continue to stare at her, looking down at her palms as they begin to glow with a familiar light. I open up my phone to a well used message page, sending a quick text before I slip my phone back into my duffle bag.
"YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO DIE OUT THERE, I COULD FINALLY GET RID OF YOU!!!! THE ONLY REASON I DIDN'T REFUSE THIS JOB WAS BECAUSE HE WOULD HAVE KILLED ME IF I DID!!! BUT YOU HAD TO GO AND GET ALL FOR ONE CAPTURED!!!! JUST SO YOU COULD TURN ITNO A FUCKING HERO!!," She says, lunging towards me as she presses her super heated hands against my neck as black scales cover my skin from my collar bone to my jaw. The heat from her hands causes the wooden floor beneath us to begin to smoke, small sparks of fire rolling over the surface.
I curl my legs up against my chest until they're in between the two of us. I push up on them until she falls off of me as I roll away from her. Attempting to scramble away from her while still on the floor, before her hand wraps around my ankle, which covers itself with small black scales as the first flicker of heat touches it. She pulls my body towards her as she reaches up for my wrist, crawling over me as she presses her palm just under my jaw yet again. Putting all her weight onto my skin as my windpipe begins to fold under the pressure.
I feel my chest heave up and down as it begs for more air, black splotches enveloping my range of vision as she continues to press down on my neck. I push my free hand up against her collar, staring behind her head as I watch fire flicker across the house. Black smoke rolling out of the open windows,

And police sirens rolling in.
