My film night with Sae went well. Nothing really interesting happened, but the film, an old classic about an American crime family, was extremely good to watch.
Between us, we'd eaten a bowl of popcorn and 2 bottles of wine.
I got up to leave, but Sae grabbed my hand.
"Don't you want to stay for a bit longer?" She asked.
"I suppose some coffee would be nice," I said, sitting back down on the sofa.
As Sae got up to make the coffee, I lit a cigarette.
"I don't mind you smoking, but at least open a window," said Sae.
I sighed, got up, and opened the window.
It was quite late now, and it was already dark. I exhaled the smoke out into the warm breeze.
"Coffee's ready," said Sae.
I sat back on the sofa, and drank the warm, black liquid.
"So, Kiyotaka...have you got a girlfriend?" She asked.
Why would she be asking that.
"Hmmm...not officially, no," I said.
She looked confused.
"What does that mean?" She asked.
"Well, Kushida and I sometimes stay at each other's apartments," I explained.
"And, do you..."
"Sometimes, yes," I confirmed the rest of her statement.
Sae slumped a little at my answer. I suppose she must have been jealous of Kikyou.
"Do you love her?" She asked.
"Why?"
"Just answer the question," she demanded.
I didn't really like the tone she was taking, but I let it slide.
I thought for a long moment.
"Kikyou and I are...similar. We both have issues, and we both help each other relieve stress, in different ways," I said.
"That doesn't answer my question," she pressed further.
"If I'm being honest...I like her more than most girls, but I wouldn't exactly call it 'love,'" I admitted.
Sae looked down at her legs.
"Then, would you be willing to..." she started, gently grabbing my wrist.
She moved my wrist to caress her own cheek.
"Like me more than most girls, too?" She asked.

When I woke up, I saw Sae making breakfast.
She was wearing only a shirt and her underwear.
"Did you sleep well?" She asked, when she heard me stirring.
"Yes, thanks. Did you?" I asked.
"Fine, I guess. Listen, I have to be at school in about half an hour, so you're gonna have to get up quick if you want breakfast," she explained hurriedly.
I got up and sat at the table.
She had made us 2 slices of toast each, covered in butter, as well as some coffee.
I ate, and then got dressed.
"You're gonna have to stay in here a little while. We can't both be seen leaving together," she explained.
I nodded.
She hugged me, and kissed me on the lips.
"Bye, Kiyotaka," she said, opening the door, and rushing out.
Well that was an interesting night.
