Putting her daughter to bed, Kiana couldn't help but smile at the beautiful little girl she got to call her own.

"Good night sweetie" she hummed as she kissed her forehead and the little girl looked up at her with sleepy eyes

"Night mama" she smiled

Feeling overwhelmed with emotion at the fact that she'd gone through so much and yet ended up with such a kindhearted baby girl, Kiana quietly exited the room quickly - trying not to make her daughter worry.

She hated when her mum cried.

Walking into the kitchen, Kiana made a beeline to the cupboard to get herself a glass to fill with water

Drinking most of it, Kiana set it down on the table and began to start to put away some of hers and her daughters stuff from earlier on in the day.

Hanging up their coats, Kiana noticed something fall out of one of the pockets and onto the floor.

Bending down to pick up what it was, Kiana found it to be a piece of paper. Opening it up, she couldn't help but hold her heart in pure delight.

It was the picture that her little girl had drawn earlier on. A family portrait. Them, Trevor and-

And another man.

A man who looked too much like someone she hadn't even shown her little girl.

Someone who left her. Left them a long time ago.

Grabbing her phone from her backpocket Kiana began to call Trevor because she needed answers

"Ki what's-" Trevor began the call to be immediately interrupted by Kiana cutting to the chase

"Have you been showing my daughter pictures of you know who?" She asked, staring at the family portrait, tracing her finger over the figure

The figure of him

She even got his tattoos down - well more like black scribbles on his arm, but it was definitely him

How could it not be, with the angry face her daughter had drawn knowing that Kiana was the only one who got to see him smile

"Shit" Trevor sighed, "She wanted to know who her dad was. What was I meant to do?" He asked

"He isn't her-" Kiana began when she whipped her head round at the sound of something. Someone. When she heard the floorboards creak in another room, Kiana snapped into action, "I'll call you back Trevor" she quickly ended the call - making her way to her daughters bedroom to keep her safe no matter what

Slowly creaking the door open, Kiana had to clamp her hand over her mouth as she almost screamed aloud. Almost, but she was screaming internally. This was all because of the figure looming over her daughter's bed.

A figure.

A tall male figure looming in the low light of her little girl's bedroom

He was stood right next to her bed.

Watching her.

Reaching into her backpocket, Kiana pulled out her only defence as she avoided the creaky floorboards and began to round room, tiptoeing up to the figure.

Sneaking up behind the stranger, Kiana held her knife up to their neck, piercing the skin ever so slightly as she whispered in order not to scare her little girl awake, "Move the fuck away from my daughter or else-" she warned
