Five years later

"Ki I'm just gonna head to the toilet, okay?" Trevor said as he looked at Kiana for reassurance

"Trevor I'm not five, I do not need you telling me your every step, I'll- I mean we'll be fine here for five minutes without you" she smiled

"Whatever you say Ki, order anything you want, I'm paying remember" he told her as he got up to go to the bathroom

Immediately after he was out of her sight, Kiana grabbed the menu available to her, knowing damn well that she'd order whatever as Trevor owed her so much money from her over their entire lives that she was definitely getting him back tonight.

Waving over a waiter, she began to order various mocktails as she knew she couldn't drink due to her sobriety, but she did want to treat herself.

It'd been a while since she'd drank, yes she had a downwards spiral at points but now she was doing better and wants to keep her sobriety.

Just as the waiter rushed off to give the bartender her order, she saw something in the corner of her eye. Well, more like someone.

Someone with black curls ontop of their head, with tattooed forearms and a- No. no it's not him, it never is him. Why? Because he's dead. He's been dead for five years.

Five whole years

...Five long years

Luca Romano is dead and Kiana needed to remember that and stop thinking every six foot tattooed man who gave her a second glance was him.

She'd mourned him.

She went to his funeral

He was gone and she needed to accept that.

"Mama" she heard babbled in her arms

Looking down at the child sat in her lap - who'd been colouring in with her crayons for the past few moments, Kiana smiled down at her daughter.

"Mama look!" She smiled, waving the colouring in Kiana's face

"I see, I see" Kiana acknowledged, holding the drawing up, "It's amazing sweetie, do you wanna describe what you drew for me?" She encouraged

"Well it's me, you, uncle Trevor and-" she rambled on, pointing at the picture

"And who else?" Kiana asked as she noticed another figure in her daughter's drawing that she'd never seen before

"What's wrong sweetie, why'd you stop?" Kiana asked confused as her daughter had suddenly started to bury her head into her neck, as she cuddled into her more - a sign of whenever she got shy, but there was no one else talking to them for her to be shy, "What's wrong baby?" she cooed

"Mama, who's that man?" Her daughter whispered, as she'd felt someone staring at her and her mum all evening, but they were scaring her - as they hadn't left the restaurant

"What man?" Kiana looked around instantly, feeling herself clutch her daughter tighter, at the fear after all these years one of Luca's enemies didn't realise he was dead and had come for her

That maybe, they were seeking vengeance for what Luca had done all those years ago

Scanning the room, Kiana found exactly who her daughter was talking about. Yes it was a man, but he was definitely no threat.

It was a man who had an unbelievably attractive smile. He was darkskin, fresh trim and captivating eyes. He was attractive as hell and he definitely had taken a liking to Kiana.

And that's why her daughter had gotten shy. She was shy because she had witnessed the man staring at her and her mother every so often in the restaurant - meaning that she was getting unwanted attention. Attention which her mother hated.
