19.5. Maverick from the dead

After the incident caused by Launch Octopus, there has been a lot of reports about mavericks to the Hololive. And more importantly, all mavericks were killed by X for once.

[Great... Why are they here again...?]

X is now at Alaska with Kiara from Hololive EN due to the incident caused by Chill Penguin, ex-member of the 17th elite unit and ex-2IC(2nd in command) of the 13th special unit.

"Well, I don't know since I don't belong to your dimension." - Kiara

[Excuse me Takanashi Kiara, I didn't asked you about this.]

"Aw come on! It's just a joke! Can't you laugh about that one?" - Kiara

Trying to joke at X, Kiara is pointing a burnt metal, which is actually a fragment from the dead Chill Penguin with her sword.

[No, I can't. We're facing S ranked mavericks. They could half destroy a single city within a day on their own without help from others.]

"Oh... I see. But that's same for some Hololive girls too. I can wield a high temperature of fire without limit too!" - Kiara

[But you don't on a real mission.]

"Well, since we're done. Let's head back too..." - Kiara

Before she could finish her speech, X and Kiara received a help from Reine.

"Kikiriki! Takanashi Kiara!" - Kiara

"Kiara senpai!" - Reine

"Reine chan! What's going on!" - Kiara

"I'm at the airport with Kaela, but the enemy is too fast and powerful! It uses wind!" - Reine

[I have questions. Is that maverick blue or purple?]

"Why yes! It looks like an eagle! Do you know who that is?" - Reine

[That's Storm Eagle! But the Storm Eagle I know isn't actually a bad guy. He was labeled as a maverick due to some reasons...]

"Well, I would like to talk to him, but he sounds too robotic. Even he's a reploid!" - Reine

[Urgh...! Guess Storm Eagle's A.I. was replaced into a random maverick. That's the only reason he's doing this. Okay. I'll help you two out since I'm done here.]

"Count me in!" - Kiara

[... And Takanashi Kiara too. Hold him off as long as you can Pavolia Reine!]

"Got it!" - Reine

"Well, let's help them out! Hop on to me!" - Kiara

As Reine finished her call, Kiara transformed into a phoenix and X hopped on her.

"Ready to take off!" - Kiara

And Kiara flew to Southeast Asia from Alaska with X on her back.

Author's note: This episode is just a mini episode. Originally, I was planning to have episodes about X vs Chill Penguin at Alaska and X vs Storm Eagle at an airport in Southeast Asia, but I since I wanted to end the 1st season of this fan fiction quick, I just deleted them and put them short in this mini episode.
