Her love for the oddities of the world made her stand out from the rest of people. However, that was just the beginning, just the surface, of what made her stand out. The way the other kids looked at her as if half of her face was missing with bare bone and blood showing made her happy - if only she could tell them what was beneath the surface of herself. As she walked the halls of Pendulum Heights High School, her buttoned up royal blue parka almost touching the floor as she turned, she stepped into the girl's bathroom. The room was empty as expected since she had snuck out of second period chemistry. She walked to the mirror and peered into it, the surface of reflective glass turning black as a gray hand pushed through into her reality, grabbing her by the collar of her jacket and pulling her into the mirror - she wasn't normal, nor would she ever be.
