Atlas Marines are soldiers from all over Remnant that train in Atlas and learn military combat techniques from regular instructors. They then learn from specialist and elite Huntsmen/Huntresses how to be better than normal soldiers.
The Atlas Marines live by a motto. "We will fight and protect the people of remnant no matter what." They have been known to therefore go against General Ironwoods orders.
