The nightmares were never-ending. Moxxie's condition got worse. Finally, Mille drove time to a nearby clinic. Moxxie told the nurse everything. It was more like a therapy session. Unfortunately, the doctor couldn't do much. Wounds of the body are easy to heal. Wounds of the heart and soul are much more complicated. There was no medication for a tormented mind. The best the doctor could do was advise Moxxie to take it very easy. He also suggested engaging in hobbies to keep himself occupied. It wasn't a bad idea. He was a musician, after all. It was a good opportunity to write a new song. With a doctor's note, Moxxie left I.M.P on medical leave.

The days dragged on. The nightmares decreased. However, they felt more real. Moxxie still had trouble sleeping at night. Millie started working part-time, so he wouldn't be alone. Of course, Blitzo understood. He also had a family. Their jobs were given to other employees for the time being. Moxxie started showing signs of improvement after a month. But things were far from over. The last nightmare struck when things were finally turning around for him. It was unlike anything. It hit him differently. This nightmare was more like a vision. It felt so real. He had lost her. Moxxie woke up hyperventilating. Millie immediately woke up, sensing him in trouble. She held him as he cried. He nearly passed out.

Moxxie knew Millie. She was a strong woman who threw daggers first and asked questions later. Most of the time, she was the one protecting him. He knew he didn't have to worry about her. But it was little comfort. It didn't make his fear of losing her any less. It haunted him. And it only got worse. The nightmare grew more real with every slumber. Moxxie could barely leave Millie on he own without panicking. Eventually, they went back to work. One job required the couple to team up with Striker. And it did not go well. Not because the assassin constantly belittled him. But because she seriously got hurt. And that was the final act.

And that was the final act
