"Anong problema," the stranger asked in a surprisingly cute voice, in contrast to her tall and lean frame. This made Dennise smile unknowingly. "Hon? Anong nangyari sa'yo?"
"What?! You're gay?!" Myco exclaimed after recovering from what just happened.
"Yes, I am." The stranger said defensively until she realized Myco was not talking to her but to Dennise. "I mean, we are and we are very much in love. Who are you? Hon, sino siya?"
"Doesn't matter, Hon." She smiled to the girl and was surprised when her smile was returned, only the stranger's smile was warmer and more cheerful and real.
"I can't believe this, Den. You're lying. You are both lying," he taunted her by pointing rudely.
"Ha!" And just like that, Dennise used her remaining energy to bring the lady in front of her, obstructing Myco's view. She leaned in and was determined to kiss the her. After all, the stranger is gay and a kiss from a girl should not matter.
But to her surprise, the lady beamed at her warmly and instead, whispered something differently. Their faces were so close Dennise could feel the warmness of her smile. Her face was cupped in between the stranger's hands and her chest throbbed along with her head. It could be the excitement of kissing a girl for the first time. Not to mention, a total stranger.
"In three, we run. One, two... three. Go!"
Dennise could not follow along so she was dragged out of the club. People were complaining to the sudden commotion but the stranger was eager to get themselves out of the suffocating atmosphere. Finally, they found Den's car.
"O, dito nalang."
"What do you mean?" Dennise asked. She wanted to thank her and even get to know her more so she was disappointed. "Stay."
"S-sorry pero I have my car though 'yung susi, nasa mga kaibigan ko e nasa loob pa sila. Baka raw kasi tumakas ako kaya 'di binigay sa akin."
"Then stay in my car," Dennise suggested, eager to keep the stranger in her company. She was having a weird feeling about the lady and besides, she was too frustrated after what just happened. She needed someone, at least. "Please. Just get it baka masundan tayo nun."
